Liangshan Yi
As you may know, I am interested in editing the article on Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture. I am also editing an article on Ugg boots. I have a cousin who works at a factory manufacturing Ugg boots in China. This interests me, but I do not feel that his involvement influences my editing or creates a bias.
Please discuss the articles with me here. Liangshan Yi (talk) 20:08, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

editHi. Tagging the comments of editors as you did here was highly inappropriate. Accordingly, I've reverted, but kept the new comment you added at the end. My apologies if I accidentally removed any content other than the tags. - Bilby (talk) 16:02, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
Inappropriate removal of tags
editPlease refer to WP:SPA.
"In communal decision-making, single-purpose accounts suspected of astroturfing or vote stacking will sometimes have a tag added after their name, as an aid to those discussing or closing the debate...If you are tagged as an SPA, please do not take this as an attack on your editing. Some users just find it easier to discuss issues when it is clear who the new editors are."
The tags were added according to WP guidlines and should not be removed. If you do not believe the tag added to your name is appropriate contact an admin to review if it is justified. You may not remove the tag from other editors, it is up to them to handle their own account. You can not justify removing the tag because another editor removed a tag you placed. Your tag was not legitimate, was one you made up yourself, is a violation of WP guidelines and one which has no standing in the WP community. Wayne (talk) 08:05, 25 November 2011 (UTC)

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jiahu, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ni River (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Accusations
editRe: Here is your proof again. The main article, Ugg boots, has a history of making Deckers look bad. [106] [107] [108] [109] The combination of circumstances leaves me wondering...Are you certain there is no chance this is a Wikiclique, or cultural bias, or a conflict of interest among the Australians?...There was plenty of time for me to review this...They are very solid because they have solidarity and organization....Would someone please show me on Wikipedia where the organization occurred? Or was it organized off-Wiki?
For someone that is allegedly a teacher you have very poor research skills considering you had "plenty of time" to review the claim. Only one of the current editors had ever edited the article at the date of your latest "makes Deckers look bad" diffs (Nov 2009) and he had only begun editing it a few weeks earlier with 100% of his edits involving the reversion of spam and vandalism. The first edit to add or remove actual content by any editor currently editing the article was made in April 2010 so if you were making these accusations in good faith you would have chosen diffs that actually involved the editors you are accusing. BTW, within six months of the current Australian editors first edits to the article it was looking very similar to the current version. It can be argued that the Australian editors are responsible for the neutrality of the current version.
If you want an example of an evidence backed accusation, I find it interesting that you turned up as a SPA to support P&W in 2011, made no more edits for 16 months then show up to support P&W again only days after posting that you were too busy to edit Wikipedia...was it organized off-Wiki? I'll show good faith and assume it was all a happy coincidence. Wayne (talk) 01:57, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
- My research skills are adequate. There are many IP addresses which trace to Australia, that edited the Ugg boots article during the period we are discussing. IP addresses were the most active in adding inflammatory language against Deckers, such as "managed to appropriate." I edited as an IP address for several years. I know how this happens. The named Australian editors currently working on these articles may have been editing as IP addresses during those years. I was an editor for a long time on the article about my home region Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture before naming my account. So I was never an SPA as you claim. If you live a real life, Wayne, you know that being too busy to edit Wikipedia is a condition that comes and goes. As a teacher, I had final exams to prepare and administer. I also had final research papers and projects to grade. I have a teaching assistant, but only for a few hours. I had regular office hours and many students wanted to see me, so for two weeks I extended my office hours for them. Now all of it is done, the grades were reported, and I have a break before summer classes begin. I can spend more time reviewing the contributions to these articles by the named Australian editors and IP addresses. You seem very angry, Wayne. I suggest that you accept the advice Dpmuk gave to TMCk. Liangshan Yi (talk) 14:20, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
Outing
editHi Liangshan Yi. I was wondering if you could remove the link to your post on Dpmuk's talk page from this post you made. I have no problem with your comments there, but Dpumk removed what you had written as bordering on outing, so linking back to the comment you posted risks compounding the problem. The RfA is done, so no one is likely to read it, but it seems better to remove the link. - Bilby (talk) 00:17, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
