The Oregon folks award
editThe W. T. Newby Local Notability Award | |
Hey LiAnna, I just spotted your recent addition of Nicole Vogel. Well, I also was just poring through old tomes of Oregon portraits, and found a portrait of a town founder you just might have heard of...he wanted to stop by to offer his personal congratulations. Pete (talk) 01:09, 7 March 2015 (UTC) |
- YES!!! Great to see my hometown founder! Thanks, Peteforsyth, you sure know me well. :) Liannadavis (talk) 02:27, 7 March 2015 (UTC)

Vivian Miranda
editHi - just a courtesy notification, since you did some work on the article and accepted from AfC, that I've nominated Vivian Miranda for deletion - the discussion is here. I appreciate and support the goals of WikiProject Women scientists, but I'm afraid I just couldn't see how she is notable per our guidelines. I just wanted to let you know, should you wish to comment on the deletion discussion. Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 06:43, 9 October 2019 (UTC)

editDeletion discussion about Danielle Twilley
editHello, Liannadavis
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Elmidae and it's nice to meet you :-)
I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Danielle Twilley, should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Danielle Twilley.
You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Elmidae}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~

Good Thoughts
editHi Lianna!
Just wanted to say I thought you made some excellent points in this evening's IGC discussion. I don't think we agree on quite everything, but even in the bits we don't, the case was well made. Nosebagbear (talk) 19:11, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you! The feeling is mutual. :) Liannadavis (talk) 21:25, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
Trevor Bauer
editHello Liannadavis,
On the Trevor Bauer article, all mentions of Lindsey Hill were removed even though I have found an Instagram page belonging to the woman and the information matches the description: https://www.instagram.com/lindseyhilll/?hl=en
Could you explain why I can't put the name even though it has been found and mentioned publicly?
- @GBAlph4: Instagram is not a reliable source, per Wikipedia policy. See WP:UGC. It's also not ok to put something in that's attributed to a source (as you did) where that fact does not appear in the source. None of the citations in that section mention a name. Liannadavis (talk) 22:02, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Liannadavis:I found a site that has the court documents. It matches up with what's been going on. Her name has been identified. https://unicourt.com/case/ca-la23-hill-lindsey-vs-bauer-trevor-707477
- @GBAlph4: That also isn't a reliable source per WP:RS. She would need to be named in the New York Times article that sentence has as a citation. That article does not name her. Liannadavis (talk) 23:55, 11 September 2021 (UTC)

Happy holidays!
editHappy Holidays and Happy New Year, LiAnna!
The other day, I was having a conversation with someone about holiday cards and social media. It occurred to me that, in the years since I left Facebook, the site I use most to communicate with people I like isn't actually a social media site at all. If you're receiving this, it's pretty likely I've talked with you more recently than I have my distant relatives and college friends on FB, at very least, and we may have even collaborated on something useful. So here's a holiday "card", Wikipedia friend. :) Hope the next couple weeks bring some fun and/or rest. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 18:39, 22 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks so much, @Rhododendrites:! What a truly epic image. :) Happy holidays to you and your family. Hope we see each other at some Wikimedia event or other in 2023! Liannadavis (talk) 20:52, 22 December 2022 (UTC)
