CPCRI, Kasaragod

edit

Dear Friend, CPCRI is a very reputed organization of south India and needs to remain. More details will be added shortly. Prof. Manna (talk) 14:12, 29 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please excuse if I have been too fast... On a first overview, I haven't been able to see why this organisation is special. I look forward to getting information on it ;) Kind regards, Liechtenstein96 (talk) 14:23, 29 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Liechtenstein96 for the interest. I will give some details on CPCRI here: Prof. Manna (talk) 11:00, 30 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

The Coconut Research Station at Kasaragod in Kerala was initially established in 1916 by the then Government of Madras and subsequently it was taken over by the Indian Central Coconut Committee in 1948. Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI) was established in 1970 as one of the agricultural research institutes in the National Agricultural Research System (NARS) under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

The Institute had the mandate to undertake research on coconut, arecanut, cocoa, cashew, oil palm and spices at the time of establishment. The research on cashew, oil palm and spices were later delinked from CPCRI to form separate institutes. The present mandate of the institute is to conduct research on coconut, arecanut and cocoa.

Organizational set up

The present organizational set up of the Institute with headquarter at Kasaragod, Kerala, Regional Stations at Kayamkulam (Kerala), Vittal (Karnataka) and Minicoy (Lakshadweep islands) and Research Centres at Kahikuchi (Assam), Mohitnagar (West Bengal) and Kidu (Karnataka) cater to the research needs of the mandate crops at the National level. The research programmes of the institute is organized under five divisions viz. Crop Improvement, Crop Production, Crop Protection, Physiology, Biochemistry and Post Harvest Technology and Social Sciences. The Institute also holds the International Coconut Gene Bank for South Asia at Kidu in Karnataka. The Institute also serves as the headquarter of All India Co-ordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Palms with 13 centres on coconut, 7 centres on oil palm and 2 centres on palmyrah. Kozhikode East

edit

Thank you Liechtenstein96 for the kind review. The city of Kozhikode has three kinds of boundaries: those decided by the local body, the district administration and the state government. The popular conception of city boundary can vary from all this. The eastern parts of the city are considered as part of the city by everyone but they have separate panchayat raj administrations of their own. Since creating separate articles for them can be confusing because of overlapping boundaries, merging them into a single article called ‘’’Kozhikode East’’ wil make more sense. Prof. Manna (talk) 10:39, 30 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you

Request for more time for articles on Japanese businessmen

edit

Hello, Liechtenstein. This is Zee money. 4 days ago, you marked two of my articles, Koichi Tsukamoto and Kosaku Inaba for proposed deletion. The original articles in the Japanese wiki do not have references (except a link to a company website) and since you marked the English-language articles, there have been no attempts by anyone to improve the Japanese-language articles with more information. I recently added links to their obituaries that I found myself (in the New York Times for Tsukamoto and Japan Times for Inaba) and created some new categories with links to their Japanese wiki counterparts that originally did not exist in the English wiki. I ask for an extension of the 1 week period you posted. There are articles on people from their companies in the Japanese wiki that may have an English language article in the future. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Spina bifida, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page AFP. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Petroleum

edit

Hi, I noticed that you placed a tag on petroleum suggesting that the industry section be updated. This suggests to me that you know what is wrong with it and how to fix it. How about it?

Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them). WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN. We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. ETH/ETC Discussion

edit

There is a discussion over on Talk:Ethereum#Survey, seeking more input as to Classic's treatment on the Ethereum page. This relates to this dispute resolution noticeboard regarding the lead edit on Ethereum. Your feedback is welcome :-) Thanks Jtbobwaysf (talk) 12:14, 25 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Jtbobwaysf: I stated my opinion. I don't see a major issue in the current edition. Keep it sound and simple, still nuanced and especially verifiable. Mind that Ethereum and underlying blockchain technology is still heavily under development and things are changing fast. Personally I believe in decentralized "smart" money-substituting tokens. - Liechtenstein96 (talk) 13:13, 25 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
