Football biographies

edit

Hi, it is great to see someone improving Wikipedia's coverage of Ecuadorian football. Can I ask you to remember to always include at least one external link from a reliable source (National Football Teams is good for players at international level) when creating articles and please do not create interwiki links [[es:playername]] to articles that do not exist, otherwise keep up the good work. Erick de Jesús

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Erick de Jesús, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Erik de Jesús. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally moving or duplicating content, please be sure you have followed the procedure at Wikipedia:Splitting by acknowledging the duplication of material in edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 19:02, 18 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello, were you trying to move the article to a new title? If so, you need to use the move function so as to preserve the page history. If you ask me, I'll happily help to get the page moved correctly, if you think that the current title is incorrect. Best, – Toon(talk) 23:07, 18 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Ligaisthebest! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 10 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 222 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Proposed deletion of Henry Pata

edit

The article Henry Pata has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Completely unreferenced, and no assertion of meeting our basic standards for notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --WFC-- 22:59, 13 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Twinkle should have done this automatically, but doesn't seem to have worked properly. I have nominated the article for a deletion discussion. Your thoughts are welcome. Regards, --WFC-- 23:02, 16 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
