Arieh Levavi

edit

Hi. I noticed that you created the article Arieh Levavi and mention that he died on February 1, 2009. I cannot, however, find any sources to this effect. Could you provide one? Thanks and Cheers, CP 05:52, 2 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Arieh Levavi was my husband's grandfather. He passed away yesterday. The funeral was held in Jerusalem. I can't find any obituary online yet. Lily24x7 (talk) 06:22, 3 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

If there is no obituary available, then adding a date of death creates serious problems with regards to our policies on the biographies of living people. If there is no printed obituary then, in order for a death date to remain on the page, you will need to find some sort of proof that he is deceased and e-mail to OTRS. If you need any help with this, please let me know. The only reason that this is such a big deal is that we take our policies on living people very seriously. If there were untrue material on your grandfather-in-law, we know you'd want it removed immediately. For the same reason, we must make absolutely certain that anything printed in that biography is true and verifiable, because we know that these biographies can have real and potentially serious effects on actual individuals. Hi, I looked, and still I can not find any online data. I asked the falks in Israel to scan a death certificate and email it over. It would probably be in Hebrew... I will email it to OTRS as soon as I can. Thank you for your help. (Lily24x7 (talk) 04:19, 9 February 2009 (UTC))Reply

Finally, the Israeli newspaper wrote an obit, but they didn't specify exact date of death: Please see: http://www.haaretz.co.il/hasite/pages/ShArt.jhtml?itemNo=1063899 Lily24x7 (talk) 19:32, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

That works, thanks! Cheers, CP 16:12, 14 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Shield of Solomon

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Shield of Solomon, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

WP:NN film

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hi, I sorry I submitted a half cooked article. It is my opinion that the documentary has importance. The movie is covered by a few international and Jewish movie festival sites (For example: Rhode Island International Film Festival and San Diego Jewish Film Festival ), and has been reviewed by The Canadian Jewish News - Movie review. The topic of the refugees from Darfur and Israel was covered in the international media USA TODAY. Lily24x7 (talk) 04:03, 10 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
