License tagging for Image:Grange Estate.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Grange Estate.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

The hoaxes will stop

edit

Any more of this hoax crap at Aria, Knowlton Estate, Eyre/Heller garbage, and you will be permanently banned from editing. Is that clear? User:Zoe|(talk) 16:11, 26 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppetry

edit

Hello, I am User: History21. I do not know if you are aware, but you and I have been implicated, along with a third user, of some sort of sockpuppetry ring. User: Zoe and User: Hipocrite are leading an attempt to portray me as a vandal, and they seem to believe (or purport to believe) that you are a sockpuppet of mine. I would greatly appreciate your weighing in on this debate, as I feel that a statement from one of the "sockpuppets" would help to clear the air. I intend to message the other user as well.

I would also like to know if you are from the Maryland area. I ask because some of your interests seem to parallel my own, and also because I have accessed Wikipedia through public IP addresses that could possibly link us if you are indeed a resident of the Baltimore area.

I only ask that in doing this you keep whatever emotions you may have about the process in check; I saw your statement on User: Zoe's talk page urging her to "Go F___ Herself," and, while the sentiment is understandable, such outbursts would likely hurt our cause.

Thank you very much and I hope to hear from you soon.

I Was Mistaken

edit

I offer you my sincerest apologies for the accusation of vandalism. Someone else had said that you committed egregious acts against Wikipedia and they linked me to you, so I repudiated you without thinking about the verifiability of the other person's claim. Upon reflection, and realizing the nature of the accusing editors in question, I realize that it was not appropriate of me to implicate you in hoaxing without first looking into the situation myself.

That being said, I really hope that you will change your position on this matter: if the administrators truly believe that you are my sockpuppet, you could be in danger of being blocked. I hope that you will at least comment on the talk page saying that I am not some kind of sockpuppeteer. At the very least, please discuss this with me.

Do you even know what duplicitous means?

I don't think it means what you seem to think it means. User:Zoe|(talk) 19:15, 2 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
