Wikipedia Education Program: student survey!

Hi! I work with the Wikipedia Education Program, and I'm hoping to get your feedback about your experience this semester! In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it would be very helpful to hear from real program students about their experience, so we know what to change. Neutrality

Hi! I noticed that you added some stuff to the article for Goodreads, specifically the criticism section. I'd really like to extend a bit of caution in this regard, as there was a bit of an issue with this content in the past. The part of the article I've reverted to is one that a group of editors agreed on as being the most neutral way to present the issue without linking to sources that may not be usable as a reliable source. It was agreed that the Huffington Post wasn't entirely a proper source for this, so it was left out as a source. Before you edit more on this particular subject, I'd really prefer that you discuss this on the talk page.

Other than that, I'd like to caution against hotlinking within the article. It's generally not done, as it looks awkward and the rule of thumb is that if the site is that important to include, it should either go in the EL section or as a source. However then you'd have to decide if it really would be necessary as an external link (most aren't) or if it would work as a reliable source, which most wouldn't be. The only other advice would be to be very careful about neutrality. Some of the speak in the Goodread page didn't read as completely neutral and could be seen as being overly positive towards Goodreads. You must always, always be neutral when writing about something. No one should be able to tell what your viewpoints are when writing the article, especially when it's something that is somewhat controversial, as the Goodreads attacks are.
