Euler's important contributions were so numerous that terms like "Euler's formula" or "Euler's theorem" can mean many different things depending on context. Just in mechanics, one has Euler angles (to specify the orientation of a rigid body), Euler's theorem (that every rotation has an axis), Euler's equations for motion of fluids, and the Euler-Lagrange equation (that comes from calculus of variations). The "Euler's formula" with which most American calculus students are familiar defines the exponentials of imaginary numbers in terms of trigonometric functions. But there is another "Euler's formula" that (to use the modern terminology adopted long after Euler's death) gives the values of the Riemann zeta function at positive even integers in terms of Bernoulli numbers.

Leonhard Euler

Your additions are interesting, but unreferenced. This is especially important for WP:FA articles such as Leonhard Euler. I shall add a formal note on this below and would be glad to help with coding. Regards. Materialscientist (talk) 03:42, 9 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sound Is The Key

edit

Maybe it is the fun of 3D that draws you to the movies. Whatever it is, there is one thing that seeing a good movie and getting a good movie experience cannot do without, and that is the sound. The sound is part of the experience. Sometimes, especially when you are seeing an action packed adventure, it could be most of the movie.

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button   or   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 07:43, 18 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Blocked

edit

Since you appear to be using Wikipedia for promotion and for what appears to be promotionally-tinged editing tests, I;ve suspended your editing privileges for 48 hours in order to get your attention, and for you to respond to the concerns expressed farther up the page. You may not disrupt the reference desk with such edits. If you do not show an intention to edit appropriately, you may be blocked indefinitely. Acroterion (talk) 12:53, 18 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for spamming or advertising. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
