GA reassessment of The Transformers (IDW Publishing)
editI have conducted a reassessment of the article as part of the GA sweeps process. I have found some issues with the referencing which need to be addressed if the article is to maintain its GA status. They can be found at Talk:The Transformers (IDW Publishing)/GA1. Thanks. Canadian Casualties in afghanistan
edithi there.
I just wanted too let you know that you edit regarding the out of country death of a Canadian soldier at Coalition casualties in Afghanistan was undone. We've had lengthy discussions on the talk page about what casualties are within the scope of the article, and the consensus was to only include deaths in country. Also, from looking at your edit summaries from the page history, I'd like to encourage you to read over WP:Civility, specifically WP:Civility#Engaging in incivility, as the tone of you summaries and some edits seem very judgmental of editors who have devoted a lot of time and effort to the article. Transformers
editThe way it works is that you "be bold" first, then work out a consensus through discussion if there are disagreements, because otherwise very little would get done. So now we're at the discussion phase. Just because something is present in an article without being challenged doesn't mean it can't be challenged, especially if it violates Wiki guidelines. Anything unsourced can be challenged, and if it is unsourced it can be removed if there is nothing to back it up. What you should be doing on your end is providing the sources that merit including the section. Also, consider that Wikipedia is not a how-to guide, so telling people what people to read the series is not we should be considering. The consideration should be conveying what reliable secondary sources have documented about the series to readers. WesleyDodds (talk) 01:56, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- The comics themselves are primary sources, which should be avoided as sources for various reasons. WesleyDodds (talk) 01:59, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Battle of Mogaidshu (2009)
editI agree, it's getting a bit big (though there are longer articles around), but everyting is documented here now, every single incident during the whole battle, from beginning to now, wouldn't it be a waste to get rid of some? Kermanshahi (talk) 12:27, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
