If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on 2010 Campaign to get 'Surfin Bird' by the Trashmen to the UK Christmas Number One requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Drdisque (talk) 18:08, 20 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

  Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Surfin' Bird, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. This mainly has to do with your obvious self-promotion of your facebook group. It is not well-sourced. All your sources were to the group itself. If you want it to be included, find reliable sources talking about your group. Otherwise, no deal.dαlus Contribs 19:44, 20 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Now you're starting to be disruptive. I suggest you stop edit warring as it is against policy. Continue and I'll report you. Ignoring this talk page warning doesn't make it go away. As I told you above, your edit violates several policies, mainly WP:UNDUE, aside from WP:RS, and WP:N/WP:WEB. Simply, you can't use facebook as a reference(or youtube for that matter) to indicate the notability of a subject. For that to happen, the subject has to be talked about in several third-party reliable sources that are unrelated from it, in actual articles about it and not just passing-mentions. Facebook may only be used as a primary source, and primary sources cannot be used to demonstrate notability.— dαlus Contribs 20:34, 21 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Do it again and I'm reporting you for edit waring and continued policy violations despite warnings to cease.— dαlus Contribs 21:06, 27 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on File:Surfinbird4no1.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
