This is getting boring. Won't someone put something in here?
Prokofiev
editI enjoyed reading your analysis of Prokofiev's 2nd Piano Concerto. Thanks for including it on WP! Ryan 23:15, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Prokofiev PC2
editHi, I want to discuss with you the possibility that that passage on Piano Concerto No. 2 (Prokofiev) will be deleted. I am responsible for putting the tags on it, and I will most likely be the one executing the sad job of deleting it. Let me first say, that it is a brilliant work. I read it after hearing much fanfare about the cadenza, and was instantly captured by the description of the cataclysmic nature of it and the "ineffectual distress flares" ending it. After hearing (and loving) it, I think that it is probably the most accurate description of the work that is possible without asking the composer himself. Thank you for such a great contribution.
Now, about the deletion: I'm sure you know what OR is, so I won't bother you. But, it must go, because that's what it is. It all could be verified by listening to a record of it, but the same could be said for the descriptions about Pokémon, characters in video games, or the millions of episodes of TV serials. I want to let you know this is being done against the resistance of every conscious though that I've had of it since reading it, and it is a huge, but necessary, loss for Wikipedia. The article Colossale has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Not notable enough to warrant an article on it's own; information can be easily fit into Glossary of music terminology
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ChesterChow (talk) 11:31, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
