Tasmania polling graphs
editThanks for doing these, although I still see the trend line looping around.
Graphs are unavailable due to technical issues. There is more info on Phabricator and on MediaWiki.org. |
I notice that the 2018 dates have day, month and year, but after 2019 they are year and month only. If I remove all the days from 2018 the lines snap to the y-axis, so it should work to add dates to the post-2018 dates (see below). I just added 01 as the day, but ideally you could put the day of the polling or the release date.
Graphs are unavailable due to technical issues. There is more info on Phabricator and on MediaWiki.org. |
Hope that helps. --Canley (talk) 05:12, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help!. They're just marked as "February 2020", for example, so I'll just add 01 to them. --LivelyRatification (talk) 05:18, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
Powerscourt railway station moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Powerscourt railway station, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ... discospinster talk 01:46, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
- What exactly needs to be done? Is the lack of references an issue here, or is it a lack of information? I presumed such an article would be, at least initially, fine, as pages like Heyfield railway station are similarly undetailed, and articles like Maffra railway station don't have any references. If I add references verifying the statements made, would that make it suitable? --LivelyRatification (talk) 02:22, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
- Just realised you probably won't see this so I'll give you a ping @Discospinster: I've also added a couple of sources to the draft. --LivelyRatification (talk) 03:01, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

Liz Phair Soberish page
editHowdy! I appreciate you cleaning up the charts section on this page - I couldn't work out the best way to add the link to the UK Album Sales chart where Soberish is # 50. Can you help me out? https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/albums-sales-chart/
- No problem at all! Template:Album chart is normally what's used here, as it automatically generates a link to the album chart. There doesn't seem to be an option for the sales chart, so I've added that in manually, and given the chart is just for sales, I've made a separate table for just sales charts. --LivelyRatification (talk) 08:08, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
- We don't use separate chart tables for sales charts. They're all charts, so editors put them all in the same one. "UK Albums Sales" tells readers the chart only measures sales and not other forms of music consumption like streaming anyway. Ss112 03:58, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- My mistake! Thanks for informing me. --LivelyRatification (talk) 05:20, 14 June 2021 (UTC)

Hi. Just for future reference, please don't make navigational templates when the artist only has two articles to link to (their main article does not count). Please see WP:NENAN and refer to the informal "rule of five": unless the artist has five other articles to link to (not including their record label or other "related articles"), they probably do not need one and if you create one, it may be nominated for deletion at WP:TfD. Thanks. Ss112 04:48, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

Lorde
editHi there, I have seen that you have reverted the change without any explanation. Do you care to provide the reason when a person heritage is from Serbia, why would their name be Croatian? Pixius talk 19:13, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Pixius: Hi! Thanks for the message. To my knowledge, Lorde's heritage is not primarily Serbian. As said on the page, her mother was a Croatian immigrant, and she holds Croatian dual citizenship. From what I can see to your edits to Sonja Yelich, there is a source that suggests that she had relatives who were Serbian, which is certainly possible. However, I don't think this overrides Lorde self-identifying herself as Croatian and the aforementioned citizenship. Are these Serbian connections worth noting? Potentially they are, I haven't read into it that much. I don't think it's worth replacing a Croatian translation of her family name with a Serbian one, though. --LivelyRatification (talk) 19:52, 11 November 2021 (UTC)

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message
editHi. I've reverted your contribution regarding news of Rex Patrick considering contesting for Lower House. I've done this on grounds that Wikipedia is not for reporting speculation, and Sky News/Murdoch-owned media outlets have a penchant for reporting headlines with partial POV which affects neutrality and even brings the factuality of the headline into question. Let's wait for backup sources (Antony Green included), and preferably Patrick himself to make a press statement about it himself. -- Tytrox (talk) 00:40, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Tytrox: Thanks for the message! I certainly agree with your concerns about the Murdoch press, and while it is speculation, I thought the presence of multiple sources (albeit, under the same corporation) reporting on the same thing with a few weeks' separation may have made it worth inclusion. However, you are right in that nothing beyond the headline in the Advertiser source says that Patrick is considering running (even Patrick just says "I would never say no", and also adds that "at this point in time, I’m just going to keep running for the Senate"), and the Sky News source essentially just amounts to speculation from a commentator. So, yes, thank you for doing that - it is probably worth waiting in this situation. --LivelyRatification (talk) 00:55, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

Hi
editHi LivelyRatification 👋🏻 🙂
I am Gryllida, a reviewer at English Wikinews.
I am seeing that you have been more active here at English Wikipedia than at English Wikinews, where you last edited in May 2023. It saddens me to see you go -- there is a lot of entertaining stories being worked on, where your help would be greatly appreciated.
(If there was something that disappointed you, specifically, please let me know.) As a version which is more lightweight on time, I would like to invite you to check one page, where reviewers might be collaborating and asking questions. So instead of doing lengthy exhausting reviews and being frustrated by the effort required to get the author to revise the story quickly, you could contribute by sharing advice in situations that are confusing or controversial, which have already been researched and detailed in a question.
There is a Subscribe button at the top right of the n:Wikinews:Water cooler/assistance page. If Notifications are readable for you, could you please click it? Then you will be notified -- including here at English Wikipedia -- of each new added section at that page. (It would help me a lot, as this is the place where I ask for help with my reviewing.)
Thank you in advance for your time reading me, and for your help.

- Hi -- thanks for reaching out, and sorry I've been unresponsive. There's nothing that disappointed me, there's just been a lot of shifts in my life since I was active on English Wikinews and I can no longer dedicate as much to the project as I'd like to. I've subscribed to notifications on that page and if I've got the time to help I'll try to. LivelyRatification (talk) 00:22, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
