María Isabella Cordero

edit

Cordero exemplifies what has been happening in Chihuahua and she is a woman who crossed from journalism to public relations. There is a lot of information out there on María Isabella Cordero, who at one time was a local Televisa news presenter but later shifted to public relations, however the material is in Spanish. If you're comfortable with that and the translations, it's ok:

  • LAHT (English)[1]
  • El Paso Times (English)[2]
  • KTSM , Channel 9, NBC affiliate (El Paso) (English)[3]
  • El Heraldo de Chihuahua[4]
  • Vanguardia[5]

What do you think? Crtew (talk) 17:14, 1 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

I would still like to use Cordero for my assignment. Google has a "translate this page" option so I think I will be ok with the translations :) Lmhorn1 (talk) 00:54, 3 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Notability and infobox

edit

Lmhorn1, She worked for the Chihuahua Televisa channel (Televisa is a network) and the local branch of the Canaco. I've added two Spanish sources to clarify. Also she was not a journalist at the time she was murdered. The violence has also touched public relations, which is unusual. You might want to refocus your notability around that. She was known for both. Besides the corrections to the infobox and notability, keep working on the main parts. I'll look back at the notability statement at a later stage before submission. Khbarton peer review

edit

The article you have done is very interesting. The amount of detailed information used in the personal, career, and death portions is impressive.

The suggestions are just questions I had after reading the article, hope they help. Why is Chihuahua considered the most violent state? Who declared war on the drug cartels? Why are journalists, and now PR people, being killed? Khbarton (talk) 01:16, 24 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia Education Program: student survey!

edit

Hi! I work with the Wikipedia Education Program, and I'm hoping to get your feedback about your experience this semester! In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it would be very helpful to hear from real program students about their experience, so we know what to change. The survey takes no more than 10 minutes, and I'd really appreciate your response!

Thanks so much! JMathewson (WMF) (talk) 01:52, 18 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
