editHello, and thanks for expressing your concern. I take your point entirely, which is why I tend not to message anons where it's clearly just a bit of one-off silliness, which as it turns out that particular edit actually was. And it's a matter for regret that arriving at that message made you feel unwelcome.
However, if anons persist in the internet equivalent of writing on walls or ripping pages out of library books, I've no intention of stopping warning them because they might have a dynamic IP and the message might reach the wrong person. That's why those messages have a bit at the bottom that says "If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices." cheers, Struway2 (talk) 10:50, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
