Disambiguation link notification for May 16
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jan Verkolje, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Frans van Mieris (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Thank-you for your recent edit, which was unexplained. You deleted the name of Victor Eeckhout (1821–1879) who was a known Orientalist artist and really should be listed in the List of Orientalist artists, and replaced it with the name of his father, Jacobus Josephus Eeckhout (1793 –1861) for whom there is no evidence that he ever produced any Orientalist works, and is a questionable inclusion in the list. Please note that all edits should have an edit summary which explains why the edit was necessary or how it results in an improvement/ adds value to the article. - Thank-you again for responding. After checking again, I realise that the error was mine and I apologise unreservedly for it. I have now reinstated your original edit, and thank you for taking the time to add to the list of Oriental artists. BronHiggs (talk) 01:27, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
DYK for Joannes de Cordua
editOn 1 July 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Joannes de Cordua, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Joachim von Sandrart praised the Flemish painter Joannes de Cordua's vanitas still lifes? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Joannes de Cordua. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Joannes de Cordua), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
