I obviously wasn't part of the original debate and may not be completely up on the scope of this issue within the RL Wikiproject, but the policy concerns override any findings made by small groups of editors. As an admin I'm pretty thick skinned and don't really notice the personal attacks any more, but I'd advise you to:

• be certain before accusing any editor of meddling, vandalism or being malicious
• be communicative and give clear rationales as to why your edits are appropriate when challenged on policy, rather than revert and restore disputed content, either without comment or with pointed edit summaries
• accept that it is not the job of an encyclopedia to report the possible future starting lineup of a sports team. Even if the BBC reports a possible line-up, that does not make it OK for inclusion in WP - BBC is a news service, WP is an encyclopedia.

Rugby Infoboxes

If the form of the template is changing, will the syntax inside the template? The problem is that for players such as Jason Robinson and Andy Farrell, it is not possible to represent both of their careers with the RL template. That is why i was changing them, to give continuity rather than odd templates throughout the team. Also I am using the RU template for the Bristol players im working on. Got this email from Sarah Butler

As Paul was still under contract with Harlequins RL at the time of his signing to Bradford, the club did recieve a fee as is normal practice. Unfortunately, we are unable to disclose what this fee is.

Can you please explain this revert and why you consider the version you reverted to "the good version"? The information I removed was unsourced opinion material. Some of it may be appropriate in edited form with sources, but as it stood it was not really appropriate.

Does he have pituitary gigantism? Even if he's significantly larger than average height, that's not noteworthy for a footballer unless it's extraordinary in some way and a topic sourceable discussion.

By whom? Unless there is significant third-party discussion on this which can be reliably sourced, this is pure opinion and thus tantamount to OR.

According to whose standards? If he is noted among analysts or commentators as particularly skilled in this area, or if he has particularly noteworthy statistics in this area, surely this can be sourced. If not, again, it's opinion.

Again, by what standards? Does he hold some record, or has he reached some milestone, in this area? Without something sourceable, this is another subjective opinion of the Wikipedian who added it.

I'll forgive your unfamiliarity with the English language. He does not have gigantism. Dave Hull has been compared to GB international Paul Wellens. Will source his good kick returns. And I'll forgive your patronizing me -- I am in fact a native speaker of English (like it says on my user page), and even if I weren't, that would not be yours to "forgive". The point of my comment on gigantism was that saying he "is a giant full-back" is not really a legitimate assessment unless he does have it. And again, comparison to Wellens is not in itself noteworthy, and must be shown to be from reliable sources. - Che Nuevara 12:14, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

I'll allow you latitude due to your unfamiliarity with the subject matter at hand. Being compared to Paul Wellens, one of the worlds best rugby players of either code, is indeed high praise from both his peers and writers. I shall source this in time. The use of the term giant in front of his position indicates that he is indeed a large player. This is common throughout the English language as means to explain what features he exhibits.
