Hey there! I’m Long-live-ALOPUS! I like adding links to pages, removing vandalism and correcting grammar and spelling. I love creating CONLANGS, and I’m currently creating one for my fictional country! If you have any suggestions for my conlang (like a unique grammatical rule, phoneme or anything), do let me know in this talk page! Thanks! Have a great day!

(PS: I also love conlangs!) xRozuRozu (tc) 21:04, 16 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks so much!
Enjoyed the tea! 😋 Long-live-ALOPUS (talk) 09:38, 19 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
BTW, have you made any conlang? Long-live-ALOPUS (talk) 13:14, 19 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
You're welcome! And yes, I made one for artistic purposes (songs/poems/etc) and I'm also learning Viossa at the moment :) xRozuRozu (tc) 23:39, 20 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oh! I hope you have a good journey! I’m making my first proper conlang, inspired by Russian, Siberian and Alaskan languages. I hope you like grammatical cases, cause my conlang has 10! I’m currently on formality distinctions and pragmatics, and I completed semantic shift, syntax and most of the hard grammar! Long-live-ALOPUS (talk) 09:27, 21 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
That's very impressive! Are you planning to use it for anything? xRozuRozu (tc) 05:48, 22 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
It’s a language for a project I’ve been making since I was a kid! It’s a classical language for my fictional country Testimonia, an island nation (about the size of Ireland, but bigger) located in the Bering Sea between Alaska and Russia. This language is vulnerable, as most of it’s speakers have shifted to Testimonia (another HORRIBLE conlang I made, literally a rip off of Russian and English). Otherwise, I just like making it as a hobby! Long-live-ALOPUS (talk) 09:16, 22 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
That's really cool :) I hope you have a great journey too! xRozuRozu (tc) 17:30, 22 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! Does your conlang have any weird quirks? Like, even though mine is located in the Bering Sea, it has a ‘dental click’. Also, if the phoneme ‘z’ is followed by ‘voiceless labial-velar fricative’, ‘dra (trilled d)’ and ‘ɲ’, it becomes trilled (like ‘zr’ but you trill it, ie you vibrate it). There are other weird quirks, like even during ellipsis, SVO word order has to be visually maintained. Also, mine has a ‘Nihilum tense’, to show that an action occurred during a time of chaos, anarchy, sadness, sorrow, loneliness, abandonment, desolation et cetera... I made this tense when I was sad, BTW... Long-live-ALOPUS (talk) 01:51, 23 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Mine doesn't really have any rules, I just make up random words haha. Yours seems very interesting and complex! xRozuRozu (tc) 05:57, 23 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
If you’re ever interested in making the grammar for your conlang, do tell me! Long-live-ALOPUS (talk) 09:36, 23 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! I would send you a brownie, but I don’t know how to! I can’t find that heart button (WikiLove)! Anyways, thanks a lot! Long-live-ALOPUS (talk) 13:51, 19 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Mine is near the upper right corner, next to the star ("add to watchlist"), but some templates can be found here! xRozuRozu (tc) 01:13, 21 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

About the Desolate Case

edit

Hi there, Danyunsik. Actually, the ‘desolate case’ is a case, that can be found in some Siberian and Northern Caucasian languages. Also, this case is used in multiple constructed languages (conlangs). Even I was confused, but when I looked it up, I saw that languages like Udi use this case. Other than that, I couldn’t find anything more about it. All I do know is that it is used to show a noun turning into/existing in a state of desolation, abandonment, emotional/physical emptiness and stuff like that. For example, in ‘The ruins were abandoned’, the Desolate Case market will be given to ‘ruins’. This is an example ChatGPT gave. I hope this clears your doubt! Thank you!
