here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! I noticed you asked about expanding articles to include more pictures of covers. We have strict copyright procedures that cover this. You may like to read the page that describes the issues. Happy editing! 〈REDVEЯS〉 20:39, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
Userboxes
editYou can find out more at Wikipedia:Userboxes. But remember, most people here at Wikipedia prefer people to use their time on building the encyclopedia, not just on building a MySpace-style user page. Userboxen can be controversial! 〈REDVEЯS〉 20:54, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
About the Leader
edit- (conversation moved from Akatsuki (Naruto)#About the Leader)
I was wondering who the leader might be. Are there any theories. I've heard a few theories, but don't really have evidence. On theory is that he is some kind of relative to naruto (since naruto's parantage is unknown and the leader's history is a complete mystery). Another theory is that he might be Madara Uchiha (who is mentioned by the nine-tailed fox in shippuden episode 1). This could be supported by the fact the Itachi says that if Sasuke can master the mangekyo sharingan, then the number would be three. DOES ANYBODY KNOW ABOUT THIS OR ABOUT MADARA UCHIHA? (P.S. I am not saying that this should be put in the article and I know that this is not a forum... I was just wondering if anybody had some info.) Lord JCYJ 21:20, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- Snapper2 removed your comment and he was correct. As a general rule, talk pages are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. In other words, discussing something on an article page that will never be put into the article is inappropriate.
- Good news, however! User talk guidelines are less stringent. I've seen several odd theories posted to the forums about the Akatsuki leader, and I've seen most of them rebuked quite swiftly. Overviewing the ones you suggested:
- It was popular to link the leader to the Fourth Hokage early on. As more details emerge about the leader, this is becoming less likely. Here is a good picture of him that was released recently: Image:Akatsuki Leader.jpg. Everything that matters is different, including the shape of his nose.
- Linking him to Madara Uchiha is reaching. This was popular back when RAWs of the initial chapters were first coming out. Bad scans or bad cleanings had people believing that they saw the leader with Sharingan. As you see, again, here: Image:Akatsuki Leader.jpg. The leader's gobstopper eyes are no where close to sharingan.
- As a side point, regarding the three people capable of mangekyo? They would be Sasuke, Itachi and Kakashi. –Gunslinger47 21:45, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
editHi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:18, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
