During Your

contribution to Hunter-gatherer, many-many good additions were added.
But the following part of Hunter-gatherer#Modern context

It has also been argued that hunting and gathering represents an evolutionary niche which can exploited by human groups if and when it would be benefitial to do so. In this way, the transition from hunting and gathering to agrigulturalism is not necessarily a one way process. [1] |

I do not understand much to either cultural anthropology or ecology (I studied mathematics and I learn now Siberian Yupik language), but I cannot exclude the possibility that maybe this part can be important for some people.
Best wishes, and much succes in Your work/studies!

Dear Losecontrol,
Thank You very much for Your quick answer, and the reinsertion.
Also the rephrasing was intresting for me.
I hope, if I know more on Eskimos in future, I shall know more about cultural anthropology. Eskimos have tens of words for walrus, and also tens of words for demonstratives -- but only a few hundred numerals (and even that looks like a recent thing in their language).
It makes easier for me to learn Eskimo languages, that this language is similar to Hungarian (typologically). And there is a huge amount of Soviet materials on Siberian Yupik language (available even in Budapest).
I wish much success in Your profession!
thanks
editThanks for keeping the Derrick Jensen page cleaned up. Like I've said, I haven't read anything from him, so I don't feel comfortable getting involved since I don't know how much emphasis he places on the statement being added to the article, but I have suspected pov problems associated with them. Anyways, thanks for keeping an eye on it. Ungovernable ForceThe Wiki Kitchen! 09:15, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Assuming what other people know
editHow did I assume that? I changed because I thought it need to be change, and i gave my justification on the discussion page. The reason why i suggested those reading were because in fact they regard those themes as part of anarcho-primitivsit theory. Peace.Maziotis 00:52, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
I do believe, however, that Jensen is a brilliant author and writer. If he says that his wrting on misogyny and racism are out of his anarchist interests, than it must be right.Maziotis 00:55, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Endgame review
editHey I rewrote the review...I think it has a much more positive spin this time. I relinked the review. I took your criticisms into consideration as well LC.
"Paleolithic" entry
editHi! Came across your months-old entry at Paleolithic, and I fully concur, and am amazed that it's still up as is. Wondering what it would take to rectify that - any ideas? Snickersnee 03:09, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Image:DerrickJensen150.jpg
editA tag has been placed on Image:DerrickJensen150.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.
If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[Talk:Image:DerrickJensen150.jpg|the article's talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hey there, you just removed a bit of cited material from this article, with a kind of odd edit summary, that didn't really make sense. In general it is a bad idea to remove cited material without a good reason. Could you explain your motivations, maybe at the talk page? Cheers, Murderbike (talk) 02:15, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
I mean that the Gender relations of Hunter gatherers (especially simple Hunter-gathers that are grouped in Bands) such as the !Kung/San and the Mbuti are usually egalitarian or at the very least are more egalitarian than the gender relations of Agricultural tribes. The author of the source i cited a professor at Harvard university Thomas M Kifer said himself in these exact words "Gender relationships are often, though not invariably, egalitarian" in the paragraph of his article/lecture [1] that describes the Characteristics of Foraging Societies, since i don’t want to add the sourced information in his exact words (that would be copyright infringement which is illegal) I made a new original sentence that conveys the same information (by using different words such as parity in place of equal or "egalitarian").--Fang 23 (talk) 03:00, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
