WikiProjects on talk pages

[edit]

Hi Lostpines, when you create new articles, you can add relevant WikiProjects to the talk pages. I added BannerShells and WikiProject templates to Talk:Linville Mound and Talk:Linville Creek. Also, based on your editing history, you might be interested in joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Virginia. Yuchitown (talk) 02:23, 6 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, good to know, and done! Lostpines (talk) 10:58, 6 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Showalter Spring moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Showalter Spring. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it has no sources. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 05:03, 6 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

That's fair, thanks! Lostpines (talk) 10:48, 6 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Sparkling Springs

[edit]

Hello, Lostpines,

Thank you for creating Sparkling Springs.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Hi Lostpines! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! I just reviewed your article Sparkling Springs and I added a notability tag to it and that it needs more sources. Do you think the spring actual is notable following WP:NGEO? If so, please add sources to show this.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Lijil}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Adding to the nom after comments being made

[edit]

I'm not sure editors should add arguments to their RM nominations after a comment has already been received, but maybe I'm wrong. Another option is to list the new information in a reply. Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 22:29, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Randy Kryn gotcha, I wasn't sure either, and so went with the addition because I thought it would be the most concise. I'd say I'd use the reply for the next one, but I think i'm all out of arguments at this point. :D Lostpines (talk) 22:36, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it's an interesting topic too. As far as I know I wasn't aware of the name change discussion so I guess I needed to throw in my 12 cents somewhere, and had the page on my watch list when it was moved. Thanks for sorting it out again. Randy Kryn (talk) 23:40, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
