Welcome!

Hello, Lpintak, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited was User:Lpintak/sandbox, which appears to be an article about yourself. Writing about yourself is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians.

As this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. We require individuals to meet Wikipedia's definition of a notable person to accept articles about them. A page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to or change it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Thank you. Please clarify: Will the page be published and then, if deemed not to meet the "notable person" criteria pulled down, will be it reviewed to determine whether it meets the standard, or will it simply not be published because I created it?
Thank you. Lpintak (talk) 22:41, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
I will move your sandbox article to the draft space, where you can submit it for review. However, if the reviewer feels that it does not meet the specific notability criteria for academics or the more general notability criteria for people, it will be declined. It may also be declined if the reviewer feels that it doesn't conform to Wikipedia's neutral point of view requirement. Declined drafts can continue to be worked on and re-submitted.
There is another matter to point out. Accounts named after a notable, identifiable or well-known individual are routinely blocked to prevent impersonation until proof of identity is provided. If you are the person that you are writing about, then do not be alarmed if this happens. The block notice will include instructions on how to provide verification of your identity, which will allow the account to be unblocked. However, if you are not the person you are writing about, then you should submit a request to change your username. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 22:53, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Lawrence Pintak, from its old location at User:Lpintak/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 22:54, 10 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
