Concern regarding Neutral POV and Possible Conflict Of Interest?
editHi Lsmatheny, wanting to assume good faith, am concerned that you have in your user name the name Matheny and you have been editing a page for Jason Gaverick Matheny on Wikipedia. Are you a family member related to the articles subject? WatchDogUS (talk) 00:05, 16 January 2016 (UTC)
Hi -- my edits have been simply to add a sentence that he was now director of IARPA (an edit made the day it was announced) and to add references (other articles or interviews). I have not made edits other than that and don't plan to. It seems to me that that is a "Neutral POV." However, if it is a problem that I am doing so, I will stop. There have been lots of articles and I was using Wikipedia as a reference page for all of them, but I don't have to. I am sorry if I was doing something against Wikipedia policy. - Hi Lsmatheny, you might want to read this article on Wikipedia's policy as it relates to Conflict of interest. There is a tendency to bias that can be triggered when a family member or friend edits a page about someone they know well. That can then bias other editors as well.
