Mentoring

edit

Hi Lsmroczk32, I will be happy to be your mentor. Nice to see you have such broad interests and ambitions! If you have questions or need feedback regarding your edits, always feel free to contact me on my user talk page. I will try to keep an eye on your edits and help out where I can. I see you already made your first article edit on Citizens Campaign for the Environment. One of the most important things when editing is to provide inline citations. For this particular article, it will also be important to establish notability, as the article has once already been deleted in 2008 for lack of proof of notability. Wish you happy editing! --Elekhh (talk) 02:51, 24 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

That would be bad, because it means that if anybody contests the notability of this NGO, the article would be deleted. Did you have a look on the websites of major newspapers? If you can't find any third party sources, I think it would be safer for you to choose another article for your assignment. --Elekhh (talk) 19:47, 30 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hi again, I see you started to work on Onondaga Lake by improving the lead. Make sure you keep your article focus up to date on the course page. cheers, --Elekhh (talk) 00:17, 6 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Editing hints

Hi again, good to see you continue the work on Onondaga Lake. I just want to introduce few editing features you might find helpful:

  • For each edit you can provide an edit summary. This will help other editors easily identify the changes you made, and assists you as needed.
  • If you are unsure of the result of your edit, or when testing the page layout, it is very useful to take advantage of the preview feature.

cheers, --Elekhh (talk) 02:27, 26 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

That seems to go well so far, so a couple more suggestions below:
