Speedy deletion nomination of Nasty and Sinister
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Nasty and Sinister requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. 99.12.243.171 (talk) 20:16, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
Lstudholme, you are invited to the Teahouse
editHi Lstudholme! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
You edit on Eileen Daly has been reverted as most of the text is irrelevant to the article and reads like a biography written by the subject herself. The article is about Eileen Daly not every film she has starred in. If any of the films etc are note worthy, they will already have their own Wikipedia article on them. Also, I note you (using this user name and other accounts, along with numerous IP addresses) remove any reference to Daly's well known and published history as an "adult star" throughout the late 70's and 80's, please refrain from doing so as it is relevant to the article.
Urgederin (talk) 20:27, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
what is your obsession/problem with eileen daly???
There is no obsession or problem - the issue is that you remove references to her history as a porn star and obsessively monitor this article to do so as if you own it. It isn't a secret, but is treated as such on this article because you remove it. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a collection of self written biographies that omits anything the subjects don't like.
Urgederin (talk) 21:08, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
The reason is it removed is because it is inaccurate, she was not in porn in the late 70's. She was not born and has never lived in southwark, shes not 52. And no, i'm not eileen daly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.126.24.59 (talk) 21:14, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
Google shows otherwise. Daly's co-star Linday Honey/Ben Dover confirms when he filmed scenes with her for hardcore European magazines. There are plenty of websites which feature Daly in pornographic video and stills. You seem to be on a one man/woman crusade to remove any reference to Daly's history.
April 2013
edit Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living persons, as you did to Eileen Daly. Thank you. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 19:56, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
what unreferenced information was that?
- Almost everything in this revision is unreferenced, trivial or gives undue weight to negative aspects of the person's biography. Please familiarize yourself with WP:BLP before you continue editing this (or any other) article. Further, please see WP:CITE, and WP:MOSBIO. If you need help, or have any questions, post them to WP:BLP/N and someone will be happy to assist you. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 21:06, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:TheCourtesans.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:TheCourtesans.jpg, which you've attributed to Glo Mason. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ronhjones (Talk) 19:08, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

Problems with upload of File:The-Courtesans-band.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:The-Courtesans-band.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Eileen-daly.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:Eileen-daly.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
