Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page West Texas Running Club has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://wtrc.tripod.com/history.html (matching the regex rule tripod\.com).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 19:22, 7 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of West Texas Running Club

edit

The article West Texas Running Club has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There is no evidence here that this meets WP:ORG, though I feel it probably escapes speedy deletion. I have only been able to find one news article at google news, [1], and it seems clearly to be a trivial reference. While it may have local notability, I believe it should be deleted unless reliable sources are produced to verify notabilty sufficient per guideline.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 1.   Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added such as to the page West Texas Running Club do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Hi. I see that you've removed the proposed deletion tag. I wanted to explain that what we need here are reliable published sources that are not connected to the club (which would exclude the club's website and press releases). I'm placing a tag on the article to explain better. If you can, please produce these, otherwise, this article may be nominated for deletion through deletion debate. This is not intended as an insult against the club, but Wikipedia has inclusion standards, and it's important to demonstrate that this club meets them. If you have questions about this, please let me know. I'm watching this page as well as the article. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:38, 16 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Please don't remove valid maintenance tags unless you address the issues in them. While you have expanded the article, you have not

"edited for notability", as you have not added reliable sources addressing the topic. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:11, 19 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:WTRC LOGO.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:WTRC LOGO.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:10, 9 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
