editKitty Ann Mountain is a mountain in the Ramapo Mountain Range. It sores 1159 feet above see level. It has a beautiful tower on its peak. This mountain is located by a lake Kinnelone in Smoke Rise. Smoke Rise got that name from the Native Americans because when it rains or if its sundown a mist starts and you can see the mist rise from the view on top of the mountain.
Rocks and Development
editKitty Ann Mountain rocks are mostly 60 million years old but some are as old as 1.3 billion years old . The Mountain is still growing and still has some miner earth quakes. The main rocks are mainly Gneiss, Granite and Marble dating as old as 1.3 billion years old. The ramapo mountain area is not a part of the appalachian mountains. It is a different fault.
Trees and wildlife
editOn Kitty Ann Mountain Their are a lot of trees and wiled life that lives their so I am only going to tell a little. The trees that grow their are Maple Tree, Fir Pine, Oak, Sassafras and Birch. The wildlife that lives there are White Tail Deer, Rabbits, Squirrels, Coyote, Fox, Raccoon, Beaver, Groundhog, American black bear and Eastern wolf
