British -ize and -ise

edit

Hi there, I notice that you've been changing some -ize spellings to -ise, I'm guessing for MOS:TIES reasons, as being British. It might be worth reading this section of the Manual of Style, which lays out that both spellings are acceptable in British English, depending on the spelling standard used. If an article with ties to Britain is largely written using one of the standards, it would be ok to alter the minority examples, for consistency, noting that as the reason in the edit summary. Changing on the basis of personal preference wouldn't be an acceptable reason. All the best. Mutt Lunker (talk) 21:02, 7 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

-Hi Mutt Lunker, I didn't know this was a rule so thanks for telling me, but yes, I only do it for consistency within the Wikipedia page, since most end in -ise and there might be one or two that end in -ize. Also thanks for warning me to put 'For consistency' in my edit summary, I didn't think of that. Cheers.
