Hi, in case Sandy's reason (original research) for removing your edit isn't clear: you can't support a descriptor like that by simply pointing to what the newspaper has produced. You'd need to find reliable sources saying something like that, and even then, it would probably only qualify as their opinion about the newspaper, rather than fact. If you have any questions, let me know. Rd232 talk 21:29, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hugo Chavez

edit

Could you please remember to observe WP rules on edit-warring in this article. You should not make more than 3 reversals in a 24 hour period. The Four Deuces (talk) 00:13, 25 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

What are the conclusion that book you mentioned draws on Chavez? ValenShephard (talk) 22:48, 8 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Cannon is not very present in the book, so to speak. It is more an introduction to Bolivarian ideology and discourse, the history of populism in Latin America, taxation policy of the Chávez administration and socioeconomic policies in general. The book also presents an overview of presidential authority and institutional autonomy, human rights, foreign policy etc, basically an excellent overview. It's all pretty dry and seemingly impartial. The only part of the book where the author expresses a view of his own is in the concluding section, where the author claims that every social revolution seems to go through a stage of populism, but also that the old leadership (in this case, Chávez) must let younger generations come to power in order to allow society to go beyond the populistic phase.Lucky to be me (talk) 21:49, 11 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

BLP vio on Manuel Rosales

edit

Do not add an opinion piece ("Comment is free") to a BLP to support defamatory content. This violates WP:BLP. Potentially defamatory content in a BLP requires a high-quality source (and removing it is not subject to WP:3RR). This is the second time you've added poorly sourced defamatory content to a BLP.

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living persons. Thank you.

Additionally, you will need to provide sources meeting BLP that contain information you believe is missing in the article, or remove the drive-by tagging, which has not been substantiated with reliable sources. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 13:19, 26 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Once again, please be aware of WP:BLP and the requisite reliability of sources, WP:UNDUE, and WP:NPOV when adding defamatory information to the biography of a living person. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 09:51, 8 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

accusations of vandalism

edit

Be very careful what you accuse other people of.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 05:24, 13 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Look, Venezuela and ECUADOR are not actors in this conflict. If they were, the three nations would be at war right now. But since they clearly are not, and since no better proof exists tahn Venezuela allegedly aiding rebels, I think it unfair to put them on the side of FARC.Lucky to be me (talk) 21:16, 16 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Removing reliable sources is more vandalism than the edit you called vandalism. What you think is unfair isn't an issue on Wiki; reliable sources are. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:56, 16 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
But these reliable sources do not state that Venezuela and Ecuador are actors in this conflict. They brought forward accusations by the previous Colombian government. And since relations between "my" government and the Colombian government have improved dramatically, with Venezuela's Extradition of Colombian guerrillas, and Santos' 'Chávez is my new best friend' comments, I think it is strange to see Venezuela listed as a 'belligerent'. I agree that 'vandalism' was a very bad way to put it. Sorry if there are any hard feelings.Lucky to be me (talk) 22:17, 17 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Bertulfo Álvarez

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bertulfo Álvarez requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Jab843 (talk) 02:13, 16 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

Colombia

edit

The article about Colombia has greatly improved thanks to some excellent editors. We have built this article from scratch since this article was lousy and therefore we are not going to allow that other reckless people destroy again the article about Colombia. We don't want to start a war of editions again. Colombia is not only war.

If you want to extend the information about the armed conflict in Colombia you can do it in the article about the Colombian armed conflict or the article about the terrorist groups of the FARC or the ELN. --Theryx7 (talk) 02:25, 9 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please do not accuse anyone of destroying and recklessness, if proof is lacking. Collaboration and dialogue is better than hostility, wouldn't you say? :) Lucky to be me (talk) 20:40, 9 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
The information is not written in a neutral point of view, and shows the FARC as if they were victims of the armed forces. This can lead to conflicts between leftists and rightists. Please you must learn to properly add a reference and you have to learn how to redirect to the appropriate article, you should write Patriotic Union in wikipedia and you'll see that there are problems. If you want to extend the information about the armed conflict in Colombia you can do it in the article about the Colombian armed conflict or the article about the terrorist groups of the FARC or the ELN. --Theryx7 (talk) 01:12, 22 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
For example you should see as written the article about Philippines which is a good article, in the article they do not expand information without a proper process of study, they instead expand the information in the appropriate article. I'm trying to improve this article but you do not collaborate with neutral information. --Theryx7 (talk) 01:28, 22 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
The information provided by me is, of course, written from a neutral point of view, which is natural given this is an encyclopedia ;) Lucky to be me (talk) 00:13, 23 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
Learn how to write a reference
[1] or "Colombia peace talks: Farc points to 'modest progress'". bbc.co.uk. Retrieved 22 October 2013. - My reference
[2] or http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-24392192 - This is your reference
Patriotic Union (UP) party - My link
Patriotic Union (UP) party - This is your link

And please, Colombia is not only war, you should try to provide other types of information about Colombia. I hope in other articles about Colombia.

I repeat, if you want to extend the information about the armed conflict in Colombia you can do it in the article about the Colombian armed conflict or the article about the terrorist groups of the FARC or the ELN.

The article about the country called Colombia is about Colombia but prepared in summary form. The article about Colombia is not an article exclusively about the armed conflict. Someday you will understand. I moved the information that you added and now is available in the article about the armed conflict and I added new references and information. --Theryx7 (talk) 11:01, 23 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
