Sex worker versus prostitution

edit

My question here still stands. Please stop and explain.

Prostitute is an offensive term. Sex worker is broader, and covers in person sexual interactions for money, in addition to strippers, exotic dancers, cam girls, etc. It's the preferred term. Sex for money is just one thing that sex workers do, so the term fits even for older cases. LucretiaIPRE (talk) 20:45, 27 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

You stated it yourself: "sex worker is broader". Specifics are preferred. -A lad insane (Channel 2) 21:13, 27 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
...and who says that "prostitute" is offensive? That is the actual thing these people were. Jack the Ripper killed prostitutes not strippers. Regardless, you will need consensus before trying to effectuate such changes. Your changes turned existing categories into red-letter cats (example) so you aren't making improvements so much as blind changes.
