Hello, Lupe12x and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Dreamy Jazz 🎷 talk to me | my contributions 19:07, 17 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I have a quick note about the article. This article is under sanctions, which essentially means that the article is subject to closer scrutiny than other articles because of its edit history. In other words, people have disagreed over what to add, how to write it, and what to use as a source to the point where it's watched closer than others. What this means for you is that anything you add to the article must be very carefully phrased and sourced with the strongest possible sources. If the content is removed, you must discuss the edits rather than immediately re-add them.

I've removed the specific things that you added to the article for a few reasons. The first is that the sentences needed to be tweaked some to fit Wikipedia's writing and grammatical style. The second is that one of the sources, specifically the NYT source, is a letter to the editor. These types of pieces aren't given any sort of editorial oversight or verification by the paper. It's also a single, average person's opinion so there's question here as to why this one person's input is important enough to highlight in the article. Letters to the editor in this situation just aren't seen as major enough to justify inclusion in an article. If she were a major, well-known person or academic it may be different, however.
