edit

User Cla68 suggested a wording change: "...a group of islands in East Asia, whose ownership is disputed." → "a group of islands in East Asia, whose ownership is disputed by China and Taiwan."

Are there any other countries who dispute Japan's possession of the islands besides the PRC and Taiwan? Cla68 (talk) 05:59, 22 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
If you check UN document and USA official statement, the ownership of this group of islands is disputed between Japan and China, or between Japan and PRC (Mainland China) and between Japan and ROC (Taiwan). Here is good enough by just mentioning "whose ownership is disputed" for RfC. --Lvhis (talk) 06:23, 24 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
If I have read correctly, Japan says that there is no dispute, that the islands indisputably belong to them. So, the dispute appears to be in the minds of the Taiwanese and PRC governments. Do you have any sources which state something else? Otherwise, I think my edit was valid. Cla68 (talk) 12:41, 25 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
