Image copyright problem with Image:Shield-IVISHFS.gif

Received request to verify conformance of image with Wikipedia policy (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy). Request was received from Rmhermen 04:27, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Neglected to log-in to see this fair use dispute in good time. This is a shame as the image has since been deleted. Must admit to being curious as to why this particular image fails the fair use test, when the RAEng image I uploaded passes. I appreciate the need for due care to be taken when uploading copyright material, sadly I am not sure as to what additional justification I can offer other than emailed permission from a senior representative of the knightly order. I shall review the templates on offer to verify if I can rapidly comply with the 'legal paperwork', otherwise the deletion shall remain. lxs (talk) 11:57, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
