Elinor Sullivan feedback

edit

Hi @LynnD16, I saw that the article on Elinor Sullivan is now live. I have some feedback for you to look over:

  • Sources: A majority of the information you have is from university faculty profiles. The concern with using these as sources is that they are not independent of the topic (Sullivan). A lot of the times, academics are asked to submit these bios, so they are not considered reliable secondary sources.
It's the same concern with the PETA Headlines sources. Considering they had a case against Sullivan, they also are not independent of the topic.
I did a quick google search and there are secondary, independent news articles about the case that you can use rather than the PETA sources, such as this OPB article.
I suggest you do some further research to find independent, secondary sources that can support the content. You may recall that the Evaluating articles training module discusses examples of what is a good source and what isn't. I recommend that you review those training slides as a refresher on this.
  • Awards and grants Section: Wikipedia is not necessarily the space to include all of these research grants. That's better suited for a CV. Unless an independent, secondary sources writes about them, I'd say they do not need to be included in the article.

If you have any questions feel free to reach out. Looping in @Kathrynlois4. Brianda (Wiki Ed) (talk) 22:38, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
