I've tagged Justine Littlewood as being possibly fiction and as lacking context. I can't tell if this is a story or a real person, and if so, why it should have an encyclopedia article. It would be great if you could edit the article to make that clear. If it's a real person, you'll want to check out WP:BIO for notability guidelines.

Again, welcome!  NickelShoe (Talk) 16:59, 5 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Just what the heck is this article about? How would someone like me go about adding a category for this? Perhaps you can since you wrote the article! Is Justine real? Is Justine fictional? What is up? Can you clear this up for those of us who are confused? Cathy —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 172.149.114.125 (talk) 18:02, 5 January 2007 (UTC).Reply

License tagging for Image:RBC.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:RBC.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:10, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Rebecca Chalmers, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. W.marsh 18:57, 6 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:JESSICABAGLOWF(A).JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 14:52, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of The Diddakoi

edit

A tag has been placed on The Diddakoi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Bongomatic (talk) 16:34, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Companion (Doctor Who), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. magnius (talk) 16:43, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Companion (Doctor Who). Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. magnius (talk) 16:45, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Companion (Doctor Who). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. magnius (talk) 16:46, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Rachel 'Ray' Defwydd

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Rachel 'Ray' Defwydd, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Character is not important enough within the series to warrant an entire page devoted to her. She is detailed enough within the "Delta and the Bannermen" article.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. magnius (talk) 17:52, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for creating this entry. Please make sure you make it clear where the information you're using comes from. All Wikipedia entries should have reliable sources listed for their information, or they risk getting deleted. You don't have to use the fancy formatting I did. Just putting them in the references section with enough information for others to track down the relevant websites, books, newspapers or magazines is enough. - Mgm|(talk) 11:47, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Rachel Shenton

edit

A tag has been placed on Rachel Shenton requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Proposed deletion of Victoria Williams (actor)

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Victoria Williams (actor), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Notability? From the (very brief) description that is offered, it seems that this actress is little more than a bit-parter who has done nothing notable, certainly not enough to warrant a wiki article.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:HollidayGrainger2010A(B).JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 05:41, 1 December 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 05:41, 1 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Lynskeyium! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Phoebe Dynevor - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Ella Jones - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Speedy deletion nomination of Clara Paget

edit

A tag has been placed on Clara Paget requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. EhsanQ (talk) 02:59, 8 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Ella Jones

edit

The article Ella Jones has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced (IMDB does not count) since 2009. For an actress with the claims made in the article, Ghits turn up absolutely nothing of consequence to assert notability under WP:ANYBIO or WP:ENT. Multiple in-depth, reliable 3rd party sources required.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
