Speedy deletion nomination of MONA Consultants

edit

A tag has been placed on MONA Consultants requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. RfA

edit

If you want your RfA to go live, you have to follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship all the way through, which means transcluding it to the main RfA page. Otherwise nobody will see your RfA or be able to vote in it. However I have to suggest that running an RfA right now is not a good idea, and will not help you get your article to stay on Wikipedia. Wikipedia administrators have no special privileges with regard to what kind of pages they can write. If you want to create an article for your company I would recommend building it on your user page and seeing if you can build it up to the point that it satisfies all the requirements of notability and verifiability before returning it to the mainspace. -- Soap Talk/Contributions 03:26, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Need some help?

edit

You seem to be having trouble with your Wikipedia articles. I understand that starting out on Wikipedia can be frustrating, and I'd like to help. For example, Kolahghermezi looks to me like a good start for an article, except for the fact that it doesn't have any reliable sources.

I want you to understand -- reliable sources aren't optional. Every article needs them, or else there's nothing we can write about, because everything on Wikipedia is meant to be verifiable.

But I see the potential for some useful articles here, and it sounds like reliable sources could be found. So I've removed the deletion tags on Kolahghermezi and Reza Feiz Noroozi. I'd like to save these articles if at all possible.

But I know nothing about Iranian television or cinema, so I'm going to need your help finding the sources. Have there been books or newspaper or magazine articles that mention Reza Feiz Noroozi or Kolah Ghermezi? If you found just two reliable printed sources, for example, that would be enough to make sure the article stays on Wikipedia.

I've searched the Internet for Kolah Ghermezi and Reza Feiz Noroozi. For Kolah Ghermezi, all I can find by searching in English is people's opinions. Searching for Reza Feiz Noroozi doesn't find me enough either -- I mostly get pages that say nothing except that he's an actor, and half of them got that from Wikipedia. (If we said Reza Feiz Noroozi was a brand of sliced bread, half the Internet would be saying that instead. That's why we need reliable sources!)

It seems like these sources should exist. It's okay if they're not available on the Web (I've occasionally gone to a library to check on Wikipedia sources that are only available in print), and it's okay if they're not in English (but I might want you to help me understand the translation).

Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. This looks like a valuable topic area that's not covered very well by Wikipedia. I hope that with your knowledge about the topic we can make the articles work.

rspεεr (talk) 07:04, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please respond. If you keep just creating new articles without taking care of the ones you've already created, these deletion notices are just going to pile up. We really need you to help us find reliable sources for your facts. rspεεr (talk) 07:29, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Reza Feiz Noroozi

edit

Also, a more specific question. IMDb lists Reza Feiz Noroozi as Norouzi, not Noroozi as you had it. Can you confirm that this is the same person you were thinking about? I'm guessing it's just a translation error but I think we should follow what our current source says. If we have more, then we can change it back with a note. Just post a note on my talk page. Thanks! -- Ricky81682 (talk) 07:35, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I imagine it's not an "error" as much as it is a case of multiple possible transliterations. But I agree that our name should agree with IMDB's. I followed through on that and moved it to Reza Fieze Norouzi (that is, I changed the "Feiz" to "Fieze" as well). rspεεr (talk) 10:11, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
