Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Begum Rokeya, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Gottagotospace (talk) 19:10, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion templates

Do NOT remove speedy deletion templates from articles (especially ones promoting yourself) or add them without reason to other people's talk pages. Procyon117 (talk) 19:11, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

I see that some of your edits have added links from one article to another, known as "wikilinks". Wikilinks can be very helpful, but it is a very common mistake among new editors to add too many wikilinks to articles. Generally speaking, a wikilink should be added only if it provides information which is likely to help readers of the article in which the link is placed to understand content of that article, or provide further information closely connected to content of that article. That normally means either a link to an article which explains words or expressions in the article containing the link, or a link to an article which provides background information which is necessary in order to understand content of the article containing the link. Linking to articles in other situations is not just unnecessary, it can actually be harmful, because research has established that the more irrelevant, or only slightly relevant, links there are in a page, the less likely readers are to find the ones which they might find useful. Thus, for example, nobody reading the article 1969 Dutch Open (tennis) is likely to need to consult the article tournament in order to understand what "tournament" means, nor does the article tournament contain any information about the 1969 Dutch Open, so linking the one to the other is not likely to be helpful. The example of inappropriate linking that I gave in my message above was typical of a kind of well intentioned but mistaken editing which is common from new editors. However, I have now seen your editing of the article Saxon revolt of 1077–1088, where you linked the word "power" to the article Power Rangers. That was either a remarkable kind of carelessness or deliberate vandalism; in either case please make sure you avoid doing similar things again. JBW (talk) 19:46, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
