I appreciate the compliment :-). Have you tried resetting the password to the old account? You can do so by clicking here. Also, you should redirect the user page the other direction if you can't recover that account; have the user page of the old account redirect to the user page of your new account. It makes more sense to redirect old inaccessible account user pages to the user pages of the account you're using currently.
