Hello, I'm MPS1992. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Project Ghazi, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. MPS1992 (talk) 13:39, 26 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation pages and references

edit

Hi, per WP:DABREF, can you please stop adding unreferenced tags to disambiguation pages please? Disambiguation pages are not articles and don't need references. IffyChat -- 13:30, 3 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

And stop adding them to fully referenced pages too, as you did to James Humphreys (pornographer). -SchroCat (talk) 13:33, 3 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
And as you did here to Olga Guramishvili-Nikoladze. SusunW (talk) 14:15, 3 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Anjum Rehmani

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Anjum Rehmani requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anjum Rehmani. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Talos Holdings LLC moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Talos Holdings LLC, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Aloe harlana

edit

Why are you requesting speedy deletion of this article is there a reason you think it is not a legitimate plant? There are articles with more information on it on sister wikipedia pages such as german and portuguese --Cs california (talk) 08:32, 23 January 2020 (UTC) https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aloe_harlanaReply

Can you show me which criteria on Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion you are using for nominating it for speedy deletion? Especially when articles are just started. Are you new to wikipedia? --Cs california (talk) 08:43, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
According to WP:A1MNB9911 (talk) 08:52, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

A1 is for articles which are "a very short article lacking sufficient context to identify the subject of the article". It says that right there in the tag you put on the article. There is no possible way that aloe harlana meets that description: it explains what it is, where it is found, where it fits into the scientific tree, and even has a photo. It does not mean an article that you think is too short and cannot be used as such.

I strongly suggest you desist from making these kinds of tags until you've familiarised yourself with the guidelines lest you wind up at dispute resolution in short order. The Drover's Wife (talk) 08:52, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

@MNB9911: are you joking it tells the whole scientific tree including links to around 14 references and a phylogney tree in the infobox? I don't see how this qualify as A1 --Cs california (talk) 08:57, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Gratuitous tagging

edit

Please be more careful with drive-by tagging like you did today at Subiaco Hotel. Eight citations is absolutely (and unarguably) fine for an article of that length and the lead section is also entirely appropriate.

I notice that you've only been on Wikipedia for a couple of months: I strongly suggest much more thoroughly familiarising yourself with Wikipedia guidelines more throwing yourself headlong into new pages patrol as repeatedly exercising poor judgment in rapid-fire tagging is likely going to get you into trouble in a relatively short space of time. These kinds of interactions are often the first ones new editors have on Wikipedia (although thankfully not in this particular case) and completely fine editing being hit with incorrect tags from an editor who's even more inexperienced with policy than the editor he's tagging is about the worst introduction we can provide. The Drover's Wife (talk) 08:47, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Again, with Donald Snyder (general). A7 is only for articles that "that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant". It is not for "any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance". It is not for subjects that you do not personally think are notable. A lieutenant-general holding various high-ranking positions in the US military is an obvious credible claim of significance. The Drover's Wife (talk) 09:03, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
You need to stop, now, and familiarise yourself with these policies. Further rapid-fire incorrect tagging without engaging on the talk pages with multiple editors mystified by your lack of policy understanding is going to result in imminent requests for administrator action to make you stop. The Drover's Wife (talk) 09:03, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Again, at Major (song). You tagged this with the "BLP sources" tag, which is only for use on biographies of living persons, which clearly does not apply to a song. You also inexplicably tagged something whose only reference was to the Billboard charts as "may contain excessive or inappropriate references to self-published sources". This is your last warning to stop before I request dispute resolution. The Drover's Wife (talk) 09:08, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

A7 of Thomas Baker (general)

edit

Hello MNB9911 -- I've declined the A7 speedy of this article because several clear claims of notability are present. Please read the WP:A7 rules again carefully before using this speedy tag again, as you clearly don't understand where it applies. Espresso Addict (talk) 09:44, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

I'd also agree with The Drover's Wife above that your tagging for maintenance issues is rather random, and often completely incorrect. Please stop doing this altogether until you have a bit more experience. It's disruptive. Espresso Addict (talk) 10:05, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
