After reading the comments on the talk page for "WikiProject World Rally," I decided that it might be better if I addressed this specifically to you because you seem to be interested in organizing and managing this project. I need to let you know that I am new to editing pages in Wikipedia and have been looking for ways to get some experience without taking on any one particular project that goes too far outside my areas of interest and I'll admit that, as exciting as the World Rally may be to some, I would rather spend time writing on other topics. That said, I noticed that on the "Most Wanted Articles Page," for December and January 2013, several entries surface for various national rallies (e.g., Argentina, Australia, Finland, ...), by year. It would seem to me that it would be best to have a page for each nation and within that page, have links to those pages that cover details of each year's race. Perhaps that has already been established to some degree. I see that some have pages for specific years of each nation's race, but some do not. At first I thought that one person would write the page for all years that had been requested for a country, but that does not appear to be the case.

So, I'm going to propose a couple of different ideas:

1) See if you can't find at least one person to "adopt" a country and allow that person to write the pages that pertain to that country's rallies (whether they be for the country's individual race or the World Rally Championship).

2) If no interest exists among the current project members, try contacting the organizers of these events to see if you can't find one who is willing to write or provide objective details about these individual nation races or their participants in the World Rally Championship.

3) I limited my searches to just what I could find on English Wikipedia. I realize Wikipedia is used in more countries than just those that speak English and it may be that for some of these rallies, a page has been written in another language for another country. Worth checking out before re-creating the wheel.

Though I contemplated writing a page for this project myself, I realize that it is much larger than I had initially anticipated and rather outside of my area of interest/expertise. That said, while I was contemplating it, I took notes of all the rallies that appeared on Wikipedia's "Most Wanted Articles Page" and put together a spreadsheet with notes that you may find helpful. If you are interested in seeing the spreadsheet I put together, let me know what would be the best way to get it to you. I could e-mail it to you or temporarily upload it to a website or use some other way to get it to you. Perhaps Wikipedia offers some sort of way to upload a document (like a spreadsheet) that can be shared or viewed by others. Let me know whether you are interested in this or not and either way, I wish you the best with this project.Emerald Evergreen 22:12, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
