Disambiguation page punctuation
editI have reverted your punctuation changes to Gorgo per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages)#Individual entries. Although your use of an extended sentence formatted into a bulleted list is certainly a reasonable style choice, Wikipedia's "dab" page standard instead treats the bulleted-list elements as sentence fragments without terminating punctuation. Please consider this in your future edits. Thank you. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 14:50, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
- Fair point. Thanks for the tip. msgj (talk) 15:51, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Can I point you to the diff [1] - although the edit summary does say that I reverted the blanking, that's because I failed to update the edit summary. You'll see from the diff that actually I only reposted my original question, and that so that my follow-up question could be read in conjunction with it. Would you mind reverting your revert? Thanks! - Understood! Took me a while there to work out what you were talking about. Apologies. MSGJ (talk) 13:57, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
Blocking notices
editIt depends on the situation. For example if it is a repeat vandal or a single purpose account then it is, in my opinion, much less important to bombard a talk page with templated messages. Shared networks such as transparent proxies and school networks typically tend to confuse casual readers from my experience. I tend to check logs first, talk page second. If you notice an instance where I have overlooked a block notification that may have been helpful otherwise, please feel free to leave one on my behalf. editGot our feedback, much appreciated. Looked at your contribs: you work hard here. Enjoy the festive season too. Martin 16:41, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
