For an article that could use expansion, wikipedia's page on Ski Skins:

The first notice I make for this page is that it does not have a large amount of information, currently sitting at a single paragraph with six sentences. There is a brief explanation of function and the types of skis that use this technology, a brief reference to seal skins, and a brief mention of the materials used. First improvements that come to mind include expansion of course, but also subdivision, links that could be added, and more. A section on the history of the skins used and the adoption of the technology by indigenous cultures for travel in cold regions would be of importance, to set the beginning of the timeline for this equipment concept. This history could progress to the modern day. Another sub-section could include a discussion of snow-science and the physics behind the friction created with each individual hair interacting with the snow surface, and some further detail as to the 'micro-mechanics' of how skins work. This could be a part of or indeed separate from another section that could explain the difference in materials used in mohair or nylon or combinations or alternative substances, used to make the skins.

Placing some information here for time being. Group exercise and looking into the expansion of a subsection on lacrosse cleats for the group editing page. Still need to meet and coordinate further as a group. Ideas for the information that would be added under this subsection includes the difference in design and the purpose of those choices (for example higher ankle support in comparison to soccer cleats, and reasoning behind those choices as a function of different player movements on the field during lacrosse play versus soccer for example). Another area includes choices for materials used and the effects of different compositions. Furthermore, if there are regulations from the NCAA for collegiate play, or for the MLL Major League Lacrosse would be pertinent information to include as this means that there are organizations testing and keeping cleat equipment under monitor for the sports. Currently have seen both soccer cleats and lacrosse cleats used at collegiate level games I've spectated, but would be an interesting comparison to the Major League. One interesting aspect is the difference in regulations across different organizations. The NFHS for example has a criteria of technical specifications for cleats suitable for play, in comparison to a smaller regulation by the NCAA which places a limit on the length of cleat spikes.
