Welcome
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means, and on Notability (organizations and companies) for more detail. Also, it must be verifiable from reliable sources that are independent of the subject, and must be written from a neutral point of view and not in a promotional style. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted.
- For advice about creating articles, read the Introduction and the Guide to creating your first article.
- You should not write articles about yourself, your band, your group, your client, your website or your best friend - that's a conflict of interest.
- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an advertising service or notice-board for announcements. Please read FAQ/Organizations before you write about your own product or organization.

Speedy deletion nomination of Platform2
editYou may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
A tag has been placed on Platform2, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of Platform2 and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JohnCD (talk) 14:44, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you created, as you did with Platform2. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:
Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 14:57, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Notability
editI have removed my speedy-deletion tag because your rewrite is much better - Wikipedia is extremely sensitive to being used as free advertising and the tone of your first version set off the anti-spam alarms. You still need to demonstrate notability by adding references to show that Platform2 "has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." From a quick search, you should have no problem. See Notability (organizations and companies) for more detail. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 15:09, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
