Please help.

I typed “The role of United Nations in Kashmir” in the search box and pressed Go. It took me to following page.

It says, “Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact name.” However, this page was created long time ago.

I also book-marked the page at the time of its creation. Here is the URL:

If I use this link then I can open the page.

I had this problem before as well. See the following discussion on October 2, 2006.

I cannot find following page using Wikipedia search.

Hi! Most likely the page has been deleted since, take a look at the deletion log.. When Google last "Crawled" Wikipedia, the page was alive, so it indexed; sinced then the page has been deleted, and Google hasn't crawled yet since.. :) --Deon555^talk_Review 00:11, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

The search is case-sensitive, as far as I know, yes. You may be able to work around it slightly by using the "search" button instead of the "go" button, but I'm not sure. —Keakealani 01:42, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

I don't think search is case sensitive. There are problems with the search engine though. The best way to direct people to the article is to link to it in other articles. That is the source of most traffic to articles, not the search engine. Someone searching for "Kashmir" is going to end up the at Kashmir page regardless, etc. It may also be appropriate to integrate the contents of that article into one of the main articles. —Centrx→talk • 02:01, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Greetings, it appears that you are tagging article after article with {{totally disputed}} , {{POV}} or similar. Please do not do this. I would concur with Nescott about this. Your one liner rationale states Pro-Indian Bias. It seems that more space is given to pro-Indian views. There is a need to balance this article. Tagging of Articles by Maakhter

Please have a look at the following:

I have provided specific criticism for each and every article I tagged. In many articles wrong map is used. I cannot write an article about the use of incorrect maps. All I need to do is to tag and then raise the issue in the discussion.

Here is an example:

Article labeld ‘Terrorism in Kashmir’ is biased and represents pro-Indian View.

For example “India says that over the last two years, a militant group, Lashkar-e-Toiba has split into two factions: Al Mansurin and Al Nasirin. Another new militant group reported to have emerged is the Save Kashmir Movement. Harkat-ul-Mujahideen (formerly known as Harkat-ul-Ansar) and Lashkar-e-Toiba are believed to be operating from Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir and Muridke, Pakistan respectively.[6] Other less well known groups are the Freedom Force and Farzandan-e-Milat. A smaller militant group, Al Badr, has been active in Kashmir for many years and is still believed to be functioning.”

How much space are you going to provide to explain Pakistani point of view?

Map of Pakistan

I have seen the map of Pakistan at the following web-page of United Nations.

The above web-page confirms my point of view. This map clearly shows line of control and does not show Azad (Independent) Kashmir (Pakistani controlled Kashmir) as a part of India.

If you mean it doesn't show up in search results, it may be because there are few links in the article. You can link important, related words with brackets, like [[United Nations]] . I have done the first paragraph of that article as an example. The search engine may base its results partly on those links. You should also creates link to the article in appropriate places, such as articles about the history of India and the history of Pakistan. —Centrx→talk • 03:28, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

What exactly are you trying to imply by adding fake mediation case links to various talk pages? You are not even a party to any serious discussion in the talk page. Mediation cases are for real disputes, and any request made without any discussion (let alone dispute) in the relevant talk pages are quite likely to be rejected. You *DID* start adding RFM tags when you hadn't even filed such a request, you then went on trying to make it look you put an RFC, and also an AN/I report. Please read WP:NPOV, WP:POINT, WP:NPA and WP:CIVIL. These are Wikipedia policies that you must, like all others, adhere to. Placing fake mediation tags, making accusations on WP:ANI is making personal attack on another editor and may result in punitive blocks.

Please try to understand that if you have concerns and questions about the content of articles on India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Kashmir, you must discuss them with other editors on the article talkpages and not remove data or write unsourced and POV data to prove a point. You have been doing so, and these are very serious offenses that hurt our purpose of building an encyclopedia.

To add, it is very, very serious and unjustifiable to state that the Bangladesh genocide was a fabrication. It is a serious violation of WP:NPA - no personal attacks. First off, the entire statement loaded with political intention, not the desire to build an encyclopedia. Please don't come here to fight political battles. If you genuinely doubt that the genocide occured, you should express your views in a respectful and open-minded way, backed with facts and credible sources, and with the intention of improving Wikipedia and not defending Pakistan. Fake allegation of genocide

Has any Pakistani been charged for genocide? What about the current relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh? The relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh are very friendly. If someone accuses Pakistan for genocide then why Bangladesh is so friendly with Pakistan, while no one has charged any Pakistani for genocide.

Has Bangladesh given up its allegation of genocide against Pakistan? If not then, why they are so friendly with Pakistan? Why Bangladesh does not want to chase its allegations of genocide against Pakistan?

Do you mean that United Nations and everyone else in the world kept quite at this alleged genocide? Who gave you the figure of three million people dieing in the conflict?

Therefore, its not just Pakistani who are denying it, the rest of the world by not asking for investigations, actually supported the Pakistani point of view. The allegations were not worth a formal investigation.

The reason is that there was no genocide. It is Indian propaganda.

Creating new articles

Hi, I saw that you were creating new articles on wikipedia but they are being deleted as they are not actual topics that an encyclopedia would cover, rather they are content that would go inside an already existing topic. It might be a good idea to create your first article via Articles for Creation where experienced editors will help you create the article and review it for you so that it wont get deleted once approved as it will meet the wikipedia standards. If you think you don't have a good idea on how to choose an article topic so that it is not a duplicate of another topic, you can see this list or ask me about a topic that is not yet covered (given that Pakistan related topics are not well covered).
