Thank you

Thank you Mabuska. Fmph (talk) 14:21, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

No problems. So i take it that Sarah777's talk page has a special condition on it then to prevent any chance of relapse or comments that can be misconstrued as baiting? If so i can understand the reasons for it. Mabuska (talk) 14:23, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
If you want this page to be semiprotected for a while to stop the troublesome person who has been pestering you, let me know on my talk page. JamesBWatson (talk) 10:03, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
I have done it for a week. Let me know if you want it either reduced or increased. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:44, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

36th Ulster Division

With regards to this edit – are you sure? I think it's been put there by someone thinking he was describing Northern Ireland as a "province". In Victorian/turn-of-the-century English they used to capitalise words that didn't need it all the time. I don't think sic is used for that purpose. JonChappleTalk 21:44, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

"sic" is used in English to denote spelling oddities or mistakes when quoting statements made by people where they have made a spelling oddity or mistake. In this case "Province" is out of place as it shouldn't actually have its first letter capitalised - but then again if it's being used as a name - which it would definately appear to be, then it mightn't be needed. Mabuska (talk) 21:50, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
Neither should Empire, unless it's being used as a proper name. And sic doesn't just cover spelling mistakes, it can be used for any apparent contradiction or error in meaning. I think it's been put on by someone thinking he means NI. JonChappleTalk 21:53, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
Remove it in that case. Oh by the way checking out links on an article on a Hunger Striker and it appears that the republican propaganda "news"paper An Phoblacht is blocked as a "Reported Attack Page!" lmao Mabuska (talk) 22:01, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
Haha, good old Firefox – serving the evil British imperialists since 2003! JonChappleTalk 22:07, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
Yep, darn those anti-Irish redcoats. Mabuska (talk) 22:21, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
(which had plenty of Irishmen in their ranks...) JonChappleTalk 06:28, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
What do you reckon to this, by the way? I'm thinking of creating it as the contributors to the Volunteer (Irish republican) article clearly wish it to remain solely about republican use. JonChappleTalk 11:22, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Irish poet template edit

Actually, I was think more about that and your edit is the best idea. Thanks ww2censor (talk) 02:38, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

No problems. I nabbed the picture from Template:Ireland-history-stub. Mabuska (talk) 11:24, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

WikiProject Transformers

Now that all of the Transformers articles have been assessed for quality and importance, and all of the images have been added to the wikiproject, I would like to impress again the significance of maintaining the status of Transformers articles on Wikipedia with Wikipedia:Version 1.0.

  • When creating new articles, please remember to add it to WikiProject Transformers, by adding the template {{WikiProject Transformers|class=|importance=}} to the talk page of the article. The quality class for most articles with very little information should equal "Stub" (pretty much any article 4000 bytes or less). If an article has an infobox with an image, and at least a couple paragraphs of information, it can be considered "Start" class. The importance class for new articles should almost always equal "Low", since most articles need further development over time, in order to increase in importance.
  • If an article is merged or deleted, please updated the quality class on the corresponding talk page to equal "Redirect".

You can see all of the articles broken down by quality and importance on the statistics table, and there is a log of everything that has been updated here, which is maintained by the WP 1.0 bot. I hope that you will see the significance of these quality and importance guides, and how they help to improve the coverage of Transformers articles on Wikipedia. Thank you for your time and cooperation. Fortdj33 (talk) 13:44, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

Thanks

Hi, thanks for the note on Request for Comments. I'll see what comes back in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Kingsmill_massacre#Names_of_victims in the next few days, then if there's still disagreement go for the RfC. --Flexdream (talk) 16:25, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

No problems, RfC's are there to be used and can help get uninvolved and non-partisan views on discussions. Mabuska (talk) 17:23, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
