Thanks
Thanks for your comments and support. I really appreciate it. It was starting to feel a little lonely here under the stairs. I'm fighting my corner, I just don't think I'm very good at it. Probably because I don't spend my time trying to game the system or Wikilawyering. I'd rather just get on with editing. SonofSetanta (talk) 14:44, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

ANI Noticeboard
I have to thank you for your comments in the Wolfe Tone Societies section. I'm very frustrated with the general response I've received though. Was it too much to ask for the article to be restored to allow me to fix it? Was it too much for me to expect a little common sense to apply? SonofSetanta (talk) 15:47, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
- Once you start to get tarred it gets hard to shake it even when good faith and common sense should be assumed. Mabuska (talk) 20:40, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
- It seems to me that some sysops are looking for fault rather than dealing with the requested agenda. All my copyright difficulties are over and anyone could have made the same mistakes. Crown Copyright does my head in. SonofSetanta (talk) 14:22, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
- Ref the POV clearup. I think it's worth looking at my statement here Talk:The_Troubles#Catholics_in_the_UDR. For once I think I've summed it up. SonofSetanta (talk) 17:22, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
- Just to point out that whilst we may see eye to eye on many things, I will always base my opinion on the most logical resolution per Wikipedia guidelines. Just like at that article where I back the basis of Asarlai's comment, though with a tweak or two. Mabuska (talk) 10:21, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
- It's exactly that kind of even handedness I am seeking. I've given great consideration to Asarlai's comments and am pleased to read your opinion. It's through this kind of collegiate discussion we will move forward on the many issues affecting Irish articles. SonofSetanta (talk) 11:09, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
- It's hard to find such discussion especially when the edit-warriors and vindictive are about. Mabuska (talk) 14:46, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

I'm actually quite pleased that we're getting constructive discussion on the few Irish articles I'm working on. I'm less pleased about other matters as you know. SonofSetanta (talk) 15:17, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
The Troubles
Could you give me your opinion on this please? SonofSetanta (talk) 12:41, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for August 16
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Irish agrarian protest societies, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Turnpike (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Silly Season
Seems like the near annual Silly Season on Wikipedia regarding editors on Ireland related articles has gotten into full swing! Mabuska (talk) 15:01, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
- Yep, and me, like an eejit walked into it with eyes wide open and fell into a trap. I cannot believe the lengths people will go to in order to get bans handed out. Nor can I get over the fact that I keep falling for it. I must need my heid looked at. SonofSetanta (talk) 16:39, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
- We all get caught in it and as per form, the season will probably last for another month. Mabuska (talk) 16:41, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
- Not for me. I'm out of it. Just hope I'm allowed to continue editing on the UDR articles. SonofSetanta (talk) 16:47, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
