Speedy deletion nomination of Gaming Club Network
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Gaming Club Network, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. WuhWuzDat 23:41, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Macvurrich. I deleted your article because it did not demonstrate why it was notable. For a topic to be considered "notable" it must have received significant coverage in (preferably multiple) reliable sources. The organisation's affiliations and longevity do not by themselves indicate notability. If you feel that you can edit the article to meet our notability guidelines and policies, I would be happy to restore the article to a user page so that you can work on it as a draft until it is ready. - Hi Macvurrich. Please accept my sincere apologies for the very belated reply; I've been extremely busy lately, and have accidentally allowed some queries to be archived before addressing them. The Games Workshop site seems to be a good start, but I'm not sure if mentions solely from that site will be enough to guarantee notability. I've userfied the article for you at User:Macvurrich/Gaming Club Network so that you can continue to work on it. The editors at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games may be able to better determine whether the subject is notable, and if so, help you improve the article and find good sources. You are free to edit the content of User:Macvurrich/Gaming Club Network during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion.
