your review of Fred Federspiel's bio

I edited the draft to add a reference to an article in Wall Street Technology that is entirely about Fred Federspiel and his invention of a new block market design. I added a sentence to clarify why Federspiel's invention has played an important role in the evolution of market structure in the US, and therefore is "significant enough to deserve attention and be recorded", meeting one of the key Wikipedia guidelines on notability.

I examined the notability requirements more carefully, and I am optimistic that you will agree that with these last edits this living biography meets the bar - under the Creative Professionals guidelines, Federspiel is known for points 3,4, and to some extent also 2.

Could you help me improve my article?

Hi RadioFan,

You recently reviewed my article about the International Federation on Ageing. Thank you for your feedback! I’d like to have your advice on how I can improve the article.

It is somewhat difficult to find sources where IFA is the primary subject, as this organization works as a ‘connector’ rather than a front-line organization, for example by helping governments to create programs for seniors. That’s why the sources describe us as partners and talk about IFA’s work rather than on the organization itself. To establish its notability, I included links to the UN org proving this organization is one of the few NGOs with consultative status with UN ECOSOC and WHO, I thought it would be the most credible and reliable sources.

Could you help me to move forward? I’m not really sure what other resources I could use. I’d really like to have this article published and I hope I’ll be able to do it with your help.

Question about removing copied phrases

Hi RadioFan --

The page I created :

was declined in part because I copied data from another source. I did this with the intent of bringing all my refernces together in the draft phase and was not planning on using it. I promptly removed it when I realized that such things are flagged even before submission. I am wondering why my page was still declined (in part) on this basis?

As mentioned in the note declining the submission, there were 2 problems. The copied text and a lack of reliable sources. Significant coverage in reliable 3rd party sources is required to demonstrate notability.--RadioFan (talk) 15:07, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

how to proceed with my page

Hi Radio Fan

you declined my last page, and I edited again on adding some references there. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/nysunworks But I don't know how to do next? Because when I first created the page, there was a " submit" click bottom, but after the second time editing, I can't find the submit bottom. Can I understand it no need to submit or something I don't understand about the system. My ultimate goal is make the article about " New York Sun Works" alive online.

My article about the International Federation on Ageing

Hi RadioFan,

After your review of my article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/International_Federation_on_Ageing#International_Federation_on_Ageing), I looked for other references and added two press articles talking more directly of the organization's work. I have a couple of questions about your comment... About press releases, I had the same concern but I read on this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_13#Is_a_press_release_a_RS.3F they were reliable sources. May I add that the press release I used as a reference is not from the organization but from the UN? I wanted to use it as a proof the organization has a representative in the UN Committee for Human Rights. Is that inappropriate? You also said "References where this organization is the primary subject of the article will help here". I read here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability#cite_ref-1 that "[the subject of the article] need not be the main topic of the source material". Did you mean the sources I used are only 'trivial mentions'? If you could please have a look at my article and tell me if it's ready to be resubmitted, or if not what I could improve, I'd be grateful. Thank you for your help!

John Koudounis Article

Hi RadioFan,

I submitted an article entitled "John Koudounis" who is the CEO of Mizuho Securities USA Inc. I noticed that Gordon Nixon is a similar corporate leader and has almost the same sources as the John Koudounis article. Aside from proper referencing, what is the reasoning why Gordon Nixon's page was approved and John Koudounis' was not?

Deleted article restored, biased editing - Help with COI

Hello,

I'm an employee of iXsystems, which develops FreeNAS. Recently you helped with a merge of another page, NAS4Free with the FreeNAS page. Recently we noticed that page had been restored, and that an anonymous editor was editing both of those pages, as well as the iXsystems page and a few others, in a way that indicated a conflict of interest and bias against FreeNAS. I was asked to find some way to address this issue, but I obviously have a conflict of interest on the issue as well, so I'm not sure how to proceed. I decided to contact you because you had participated in that merge and your user page indicates that you'd be willing to help inexperienced users. If there's someone else I should contact or a correct forum for managing this kind of issue which you'd rather I call on, please let me know.
