Un-Deletion Review for the Arizona Jewelers Association
editAn editor has asked for a deletion review of Arizona Jewelers Association. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article or speedy-deleted it, you might want to participate in the deletion review. 71.223.143.86 00:10, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
You voted "keep per nom" at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Whitefield College. Could you clarify your position? Thanks. Arbusto 04:39, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
VandalProof add request
edit- You were probably removed without notice because you do not meet the #1 requirement for registration, "For security and statistical reasons, all users must request permission to use VandalProof before they may use the application. New users with fewer than 250 mainspace edits and users who have recently been involved in edit wars or have a recent history of vandalism will likely not be accepted." You do not have more than 250 edits.
- Additionally, you cannot use the revert function to re-add yourself to the list. You removed several users that were requesting permission. Mis-use of a wikipedia function is not a good way to request addition to a restriced area. I have removed you from the list and added back everyone you removed. --Mattarata 23:06, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

editIt is not correct to indicate a Bar, as in the US. In Ireland the phrase called to the bar means to qualify as a barrister, a lawyer doing court work. Durrus 19:27, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Easy on the reversions...
editWhy did you revert a friendly message to one of my fellow Wikipedians? We have worked together in the past and I was just builiding community. Please be careful in the future. Cheers. youngamerican (ahoy hoy) 16:53, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks. I've got other worries now. An anon editor is mad that I warned someone on the same IP address as them. Oh well. youngamerican (ahoy hoy) 17:13, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

"Typos"
edit"first-hand" is not a typo. "First hand" and "First-hand" are the more appropriate spellings. This is a compound word. —Centrx→talk • 21:23, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
- I came to this talk page independently to say exactly the same thing. Check out the entry at dictionary.com.
It's also not listed in the list of typos you linked to in your edit summary(noticed that this was because User:Centrx had removed it). Ironfrost 03:14, 15 November 2006 (UTC)- Any additional discussion about this topic should be at Wikipedia_talk:AutoWikiBrowser/Typos#Firsthand.

Monobook edit
editHello, Maelnuneb, I wanted to let you know that I have edited your monobook file because it was incorrectly appearing in Category:AfD debates (Not yet sorted). This should not cause any problems for you, but if it should for some reason please make sure that you do not reinsert yourself in the category when you fix it. Thanks, Prodego talk 17:12, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

An invitation to join WikiProject Ohio
editHi, you are listed under Category:Wikipedians in Ohio or one of its subcategories. WikiProject Ohio has been slowing down and we're looking for active Ohioans to turn that around! But first, let us introduce ourselves; we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to Ohio and we're sure there's somewhere you'll fit in just fine. The project's departments include article quality assessment: We have over 5,000 articles to assess for class alone, newsletter writing: This has been delayed by a few months, and new page patrolling: Which has also been slowing down. We also have a newly formed taskforce on our over 1,000 townships at WP:OHTWP.
We have 132 members, many of which are not active within the project. If you are listed there and still received this message please accept the auotmated porcess's apologies. If you are interested in joining us please list you name here. If you're not interested please note this is a one time invite and you will never hear from us again.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to leave a message at our talkpage or with any member of the project, we'll be happy to answer any of your questions. We look forward to seeing you around!

Disambiguation link fixing one-day contest
editI have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed. If everyone in the disambiguation link fixers category were to fix 500 links, we would have them all done - so aim high! Cheers! bd2412 T 02:57, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New deal for page patrollers
editHi Maelnuneb,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
