Hi. Since you have edited on Wikipedia:WikiProject Cities/German names, I would invite you to vote on Talk:Gdansk/Vote to settle the multi-year dozens-of-pages dispute about the naming of Gdansk/Danzig and other locations. The vote has two parts, one with questions when to use Gdansk/Danzig, and a second part affecting articles related to locations with Polish/German history in general. An enforcement is also voted on. The vote has a total of 10 questions to vote on, and ends in two weeks on Friday, March 4 0:00. Thank you -- Chris 73 Talk 07:24, Feb 18, 2005 (UTC)

Wikipedia:WikiProject Frankfurt

edit

If you want to revive this project, I'll be happy to do some advertising for it at the Germany portal or other suitable places. It would be great if the Frankfurt project could be integrated more into the Germany project (like my silly pet project, the Mainz task force is). Anyway, if you need help, just ask (gerne auch auf Deutsch). Happy editing, Kusma (討論) 17:57, 22 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm gonna see how to revive WP:Frankfurt. I'm adding more articles to it. WhisperToMe (talk) 22:11, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

FFM suburbs

edit

I came to your impressive user page about Frankfurt looking for links to a town. I found it as a suburb of Frankfurt. If I translate suburb to Vorort that is wrong. To my knowledge all the towns listed under suburbs are independent. But perhaps my translation is wrong.? Please answer here, I will check. Regards --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:22, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

A suburb or Vorort is an independent town. A district or Stadtteil is an incorporated part of a city. Both may look very much alike on the ground if they both are located in the suburban belt of a city region. -- The towns listed on my user page are independent communes outside Frankfurt's city limits but inside Frankfurt Rhein-Main metro area. --Magadan ?! 01:46, 5 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
Agreed. But I would suggest you be as precise in the article. I would regard Eschborn as a suburb of Frankfurt, but Idstein certainly not. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:04, 5 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
It is no article, just a user page for my notes... :-) --Magadan ?! 21:47, 14 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
It's a great collection that shows in many links and that I would like to see as an article! Some concerts of the Rheingau Musik Festival are now in the Alte Oper, so you might want to include it? - Do you have an answer to the outlying centre question?
