WW2 aircraft losses
editThanks for commenting on the aircraft losses.
The losses as listed now are supposedly taken from: Ellis, John. World War II - A statistical survey Facts on File 1993 as that is the source cited in the article. I don't have that book, though, and can't comment on the accuracy of the numbers or even if the numbers in the article maybe has been adjusted later without any new source given. It happens alot with the numbers given on this page but we try to watch it and revert any changes made that doesn't cite any source. And that's what I did with your edit. It also was quite unencyclopedic in content. An encyclopedia shouldn't have statements like: "Unfortunatelly it has little to do with the real losses". We want to list the real losses.
But in the message you left me you do cite sources and back up the numbers with references. This is very good. So I encourage you to just make changes to the numbers according to the sources you cited, AND list those sources in the reference section of the article. Changes like that are very welcome. If you have any questions or need help in editing, just ask me.
Thanks again, and sorry if you felt my revert was arogant and unjust. It's just that we see so many changes lacking sources and we try to avoid them. Shanes 19:03, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
